U sound a very bitter person. What's so surprising that any parents normally favours obedient children. Her being 'obedient' gave her more freedom. Anyway being obedient probably to dress decently ( though not all cover up) and to behave n not being scandalous is no hardship for her. By the way I think if you are married you can go uncover yr head if your husband allows it. Her husband being a modern person maybe dont mind as long as not too revealing bikinis clothings ie like Kim Kardashian's. If U go to The dubai water theme park I was shocked initially to see many arab women walking around wearing bikinis ( n some are fat n not ashame to b exposed, maybe they are not arab Muslims or cud b Europeans. What a shame , she renounced Christianity for what, why did she not follow her mum example to keep her faith, what extra money was she looking for when her mum already received 90 million dollars. In islamic tradition as part of dowry often the groom pays for all the brides dresses jewellery even Venues food, guest accommodation, gifts so as to not cause any hardship to the father, daughters are considered are blessings in islam. Tough decision. I have always embraced freedom and nature, and it left me vulnerable and got me nowhere. She was wise, I believe.

I think her father loves her very much and also her mother....they are very respectful, loving, loyal and tender to her father and ex husband (the ruler of Dubai). He knows that and thats why he shows his gratitude by allowing them so much...and of course his daughter is an very educated young woman with degrees and she has an western background, the same as her mother! He is very proud of her and wants only the best for his daughter who is very obedient to him!!!! That is what i think!!!

Hello, my thoughts on this is that although "Christina" was raised in a western styled life until she was older HRH Sheik Mohammed gave her the opportunity to leave all of the Western trappings behind. She converted to Islam, her name was changed, and she obeyed her Father Sheik Mohammed in every way. As a result, Sheik Mohammed gave her the life of a Princess, He even found a very handsome and wealthy husband for her from within the family. Sheik Mohammed placed her higher for her obedience than his other daughters. She is allowed special privileges than the other daughters. I see him as a very wise and caring Father. If you are will to give up you all and allow him to direct your life, it will be a most happy and fulfilled life that he wishes for his daughters. I am very happy for her, her husband, and her Father HRH Sheik Mohammed.

It's common to convert to Islam when marrying, the men as well. I've become aware that there are some serious theological differences between Islam and Christianity. Two of the three great Abrahamic religions, can't seem to find peace between them. The Catholic Church encourages protestants to convert before marriage, to sanctify the marriage. My mother converted to Judaism to marry her fourth husband. So, it's not that unusual, you kinda sign up for the deal when you marry into the family. Men of another religion have converted to Islam to marry their sweetheart. Nope it's not just the ladies.

Exactly, how can people not see this. It's smoke and mirrors. She didn't grow up in the palace and has no idea who her father really is but she is going to find out after the honey moon is over. He arranged for her to be married to a cousin so any martial problems and she won't be able to complain to her father and since her father is ruler of the country she can't go to the courts, she will have to run to England like his ex wife did.

But in Islam, a hypocrite will be in hell eternally, and since her father is a hypocrite to his daughters, then he will be in eternal hell. Also, he isn’t respectful when he is being hypocritical, so an eye for an eye (eye for an eye is mentioned in the Quran of Islam), he doesn’t deserve to receive respect from the people that he was hypocritical towards.

Its a pity the Sheikh never smiles seeing that he has everything money can buy. Life isn’t about money entirely though it’s about love, respect and honour.

Material things cannot be owned by anybody, for at death they must be left behind and given to others. We are only allowed to use things. It shows a lack of wisdom to be possessed by material.

Well it makes sense she didn't grow up in the palace like her half sisters but in order to be accepted she had to change her name, give up her religion and marry a relative, so she sold out. Of course the guest list wasn't not made public but we know who was there.
