My boy wouldn’t be so calm. What a well trained dude!

He seems like a wonderful ambassador for his breed. So calm. Owner did a good job desensitizing him to the grooming process since he was a a much smaller ball of fluff. Going to one trusted groomer helps.

if they are taught and combed from childhood (which is necessary), then they even get high from the process - sometimes mine even fall asleep

Wow. Looks just like my first dog, a female fawn coloured chow chow. My poor mum did most of the grooming of her way back in 1972, as there weren't any dog groomers around where we lived. My girl wasn't so well behaved. Miss her beautiful face and nature. Now got a miniature rescue cavapoo to care for. Dogs are great❤

A Chow chow is double coated pup. Chow chows Shouldn't be shaved or trimmed down unless there is a medical reason. Their double coats help to regulate their bodies temperature. Their coat will never be the same once they get shaved.

@@MomentFilms try introducing the brush to you dog every day it really helps, but you also need to be patient and careful for the direction the hair grows in ^^

I learned to do everything myself, grooming and haircuts (although I prefer to cut only my ass, but in the summer if it’s very hot I do a full haircut) they just don’t want to be touched by strangers, I don’t want to give them stress. But if you drive from childhood with one groomer, they get used to it and behave well
