Over the past weeks I've gone from liking you to loving you! Your heartfelt dialogues have touched us all. I couldn't get you out of my head yesterday, and have been praying that Ray is getting better. No one could do more than you've done to keep he and your family safe. Please give us news when you can.

I just want you to know how much my Moma loved your program! She passed away Thursday but I have so many memories of her watching you, we've even watched while eating dinner more than a few times! I'm not a crafter but I really appreciate you sharing what you love with us! Moma used some of your techniques in her projects and I wish I could show you some of her creations but I don't know how KZread works! I'm not even sure you'll see this but I want to thank you for bringing joy to my Moma's last few years! Please stay safe, keep crafting and God be with us all!!

Being a seamstress for most of my life, I find it hard to trust hem tape. It's more of a temporary fix for me. Maybe it's come along since I last used it, but I'm curious how much weight the handles will hold? This is an adorable idea, and I do have some unused towels that I could make beach bag for our granddaughter that lives within minutes of the ocean. I'll use my sewing machine though as this idea would easily transfer for it. Thanks so much.

Olive I believe you are right. Hem tape is meant to hold a hem up not a tote full of stuff. Especially since it is a terry cloth towel.

@@MimiMcWil Thanks Mimi. Hot glue can be temporary too if it gets too hot, but it would most certainly hold better than hem tape in this situation.

If you sew it with your sewing machine, you can then fold the towel and handles in on themselves so that they fold into the pocket, so that it's the bag and a cushion. I'm sure you will find it if you search for Quillow. It's better if the pocket is the same fabric inside and out so that it looks good both ways. If I wasn't so shy I'd do a heap of these things that make doing so many things a lot quicker, easier, but without being flimsy. For example, using a long piece of ribbon, or something similar to make both turning the fabric back to the right side, and then to easily put the toweling strip inside the casing, each only taking one quick step ...my friends often tell me that I should do it when they see me come up with an unusual way of doing things, but it's because I've been paralyzed several times during my life before things were invented for the things I needed or wanted to do, or was too expensive, so I've had to think outside the box. They say that necessity is the mother of invention and that's certainly been the case for me. I have the ideas but not the confidence to even speak on camera, let alone face to face on camera.

This is a really cute project. I can see something like this being great for taking to the pool or on a weekend trip to put wet/dirty clothes in to take home. It would also make a great sleepover bag: big enough kids can just throw their clothes in, maybe even a board game! I'm thinking of doing one with denim stash to store all of my big acrylic rulers in. Oh, and for anyone who likes to upcycle, I'm betting you could make something similar with old sheets or worm out blankets!

Great project. I wanted to make two - one for myself and one for granddaughter. Her towel is a different color than mine but the coordinating fabric is the same color. I'm adding a small inside pocket for my cell phone, a small round piece to attach keys to (on the inside) and I'm playing with 2 straps on the side where we can slide a small water bottle through, and I squared the corners. I never would have done this without your video.. thank you!! I have to assemble the first one yet.. but all the pieces are sewn and ready to go.

Since we all need to keep our spirits up I wanted to share this. I have difficulty hearing clearly and near the end of your video I thought you said we all had a lot of time on our hands due to this Florentine Time. I was puzzled for a minute or so trying to figure out what Florentine Time was. I laughed when I realized you actually said quarantine time. Your videos do indeed transfix the viewer. I was lost in visions of taking my new bag to the beach, and completely forgot about this season we are enduring, which actually sounds much nicer referred to as Florentine time. God bless you, Kelly. Keep the videos coming. Pray your family is well.

That is just adorable! I have never use that iron on heat bond, and I’m raring to try it now!I always sew everything, but now I want to check out that heat and bond. The only thing that I would do differently, would be to sell across the bottom on both corners to make it more three dimensional, and I would add a piece of cardboard or something stiff in the bottom covered in fabric. This would be removable when washing the bag. I’m new to your channel, and I’m really enjoying all of your DIY‘s. Thank you!

I LOVEEEEE this! I'm the kind of person who likes to give "personal" gifts. I put a lot of thought into things I give as gifts, ESPECIALLY when it's family! One of my baby sisters is about to have her 4th baby girl any day now, so I keep thinking 💭 DIAPER BAG! Now not for that "everything" diaper bag, but to just run to the store or something quick, you can toss a couple of diapers, a small thing of baby wipes, a bottle, etc....{even a little emergency change of clothes} Maybe even a few little travel size items like powder, lotion, diaper rash cream.... Now that I say all of this, an adorable homemade bag FILLED WITH several of these goodies sounds like a great little gift! ALSO, I had a quick question.... I bought a little package of the plain white, soft cotton flour sack or tea towels that I've been trying to think of a way to "cutesy" them up to make BURP RAGS! Have you ever made those and if SO, do you have any videos? I keep thinking ruffles or lace or SOMETHING since they are just plain white, but I wouldn't want anything too stiff or scratchy JUST IN CASE that part got accidentally used against the skin.... 🤔 YEARS AGO, I used to make burp rags using those which were actually called "PREFOLDED CLOTH DIAPERS" but I don't know if they stopped making those or what but I've not seen them in a while... ANYHOOZIE, I'd love some inspiration/ideas! And if ANYONE can come up with a keyoot idea, I know YOU CAN! Thank you sweetie! Hope you have a super sparkly day! XO from TEXAS! 🤠

Thanks for the cute DIY Kelly! In addition to the uses that you said, I think it would be great for a reusable grocery bag. How’s Ray holding up, and did you get his test results yet? How’s Jeff doing at work too? I will continue praying for your family.

Really cute idea… They would make great beach totes, of course, I would do the sewing method for that because of the water and the sand etc. etc. but it’s adorable and how nice that you can just throw your beach bag or beach tote into the washer… Thank you so much for this idea

This was a cute idea, I think I want to make one for the gym, to hold my wet bathing suit. Like everyone else here I pray that Ray is still on the mend. And of course wondering what his test results were. Maybe he is feeling sensitive about that being shared on here though. Just know that I continue to pray for you and so does my family. Thank you for sharing these and keeping us inspired while we shelter in place. :-)

Love this idea!!!! However...I just thought up a 2nd possible project ending @ the 13:55 mark. At this particular point rather than closing up the sides, leaving them open would make an awesome yoga mat carrying sling/bag!!! Just my 2 cents thought.

Taking that bag to the beach on a hot summer day ; the glue is more likely to soften and give away under to much weight . I'd go over it and pound in rivets at the stress points .

Kelly, it's delightful to "meet" you! You're so imaginative and ingenious in figuring out how to make things no-sew! I watched this whole process in pleased awe and knew I'd be making many of these rabbity-soft and user-friendly bags for my daughters-in-love and my grandchildren. It was exciting to know how long they hold up, too! After you showed pix of your husband and talked about your family and backstory, I started wishing we could be neighbors. I subscribed and will tell friends about your channel. I feel so fortunate to have found you and look forward to watching all your videos. Hugs and blessings!💕xox Sue P.S. I always read the comments because it feels more like community and commenters often have further great ideas. People mentioned your son. I won't know what's going on with him until I can watch your previous vids, but I'm already praying for him.

How fun is that! I’ve never seen one of these! This would make a wonderful gift! I love this! I’m definitely going to be making several of these! My teen would love it too, maybe a pic of her and her besties on the front and carry it for a swimming bag. Where w live, we have pool bags lol no beaches for many miles! Love the stitches you added to the bag, that gave it the cutest look. Did you get the multi pack of the hem tape at Walmart or somewhere else? I’ve never seen a pack with different sizes. Thanks for sharing your opinion on the little iron. I’ve almost grabbed one so many times but didn’t because I just wasn’t sure, and I talked myself out of it telling myself I already have a regular sized iron. I think I do need it to go in my craft stash too! Lol Thanks for sharing this adorable project. I’m so excited about it. I can just see my oldest daughters face , surprising her with one with a pic of my granddaughter! I’m assuming since you are uploading and you haven’t said anything, that your son is still getting better!? For that, I am beyond thankful! 😊 I know you are probably over the moon with joy in your heart! I hope the rest of your week is amazing! See you next time 😊💕🤗
