Those who are confused about the third braided wire connect to the speaker's frame serves the function of ground which helps to reduce short-circuit or extra hum sound in the audio signals, ensuring clearer sound output 😊

What is the tool name that u used for teardown woofer part
I have a really important question. What’s the red and black braided cable and what function does it serve ? I was having problems with mine; took it apart and there wasn’t one there

These Flip and Charge series speakers from JBL are made in multiple different factories in China and Vietnam. As such, there are multiple hardware variants, and sometimes the drivers even vary. Probably, only some have this red wire.

Try to unscrew the woofer And see if all the cables connected to speaker are good connected i mean that if they are a bit lose it can be it.

And if its not the twist you might need to change the woofer
