I love this word - bouloches. As an American, I say the clothes are pilling, but from here out, I will incorporate the word bouloches. That alone makes me feel more expensive!

This is not a new concept, these copycat bags have been around for years. True or not, no one could get close enough to examine the inside of my bag. *condup* Unless you are an airport security guard. Ha ha ha ha

I love natural material. For me, quality means so much. Love vintage luxury handbags and antique fine jewelry. I learned from my aunt, great aunt, and most of all my mother that less is more. I am years old, slim, petite. Classic styles do not fall out of style easily. No fast fashion or polyester for me. Thank you for this video, I have subscribed.

Your list of tips or guidelines almost exactly agrees with my own! I only wear natural fibers, plus the rayon/viscose family (the “manmade cellulosic fibers”). These fibers are very breathable, which is essential for us older women who overheat easily, and non-irritating, because they’re made of plant fibers, not plastic. I can’t even wear plastics like polyester in blends and plastic footwear, belts or bags are simply unthinkable. With the addition of this one tip to follow below, I think your guidelines will lead to a quality, tasteful and expensive look, low-budget or not. The additional tip is about fit: ignore size numbers/letters except as a starting point for trying on - there is absolutely no consistency in sizing anymore. Don’t wear clothes that are too small, the biggest style mistake I see US women make, or too large, either. Those horizontal creases across the body indicate that a garment is too small, and will only make the wearer look much heavier. I also would avoid Spandex, except in exercise clothes. Spandex makes clothes squeeze and cling, reduces breathability and cheapens the look. I just made the mistake of buying two Ralph Lauren, cotton with Spandex, knit dresses in my usual size medium without trying them on before I cut the tags off. They make my tummy and bust look much bigger than they are because of the squeezing and horizontal creases, I should have gone up at least one size! I checked the label, they have a huge 9% Spandex, yuck, no wonder. Brands love Spandex because it makes fabrics cheaper, but I should have been more careful, even Ralph Lauren has cheapened their fabric quality lately. Now I have relegated these to house dresses, it’s a shame.

Thank you for your kind words! I couldn't agree more with your point about fit! I also buy different sizes depending on how they fall on me. This is great inspiration for a future video on how to dress for different body shapes! I am sorry to hear about your RL experience, I was still under the impression that they were not trying to cut cost... Cutting costs in material quality really is a plague that touches so many brands!

The one in the video is from Vero Moda (I bought it two years ago) and the places I’d go to to get more of them would be Zara or H&M👌 the old money aesthetic is trending this summer, so these pieces are really easy to find!

There exists very good plant-based leather! They are a bit more pricey (like the one Veja uses for example), but a great alternative to real leather. Samara is for example a great brand that makes gorgeous-looking handbags from apple leather. Other option: back to natural fibers! Bags in cotton, straw, linen etc... As soon as your plant-based leather looks mat, it will give that expensive-looking vibe :)
