The V-Wing was just so fucking awesome in this game, I can still remember the feeling of it on my first joystick and the joy of wrapping up the legs of AT-AT with the snowspeeder.

This game was so good simply because of the audio. It's very nostalgic.

The nostalgia is strong with this one. God I played this game to death on my N64 back in the day.

I feel like my childhood has just been ruined. I completed this win I was 8 or 9 years old after spending a long long time doing the battle of calamari. When I finished and saw all the credits I turned it off and never went back on it. I never knew there was more levels after that! Until this day I though star wars rogue squadron was the very first game I ever completed. My life is a lie

This game's equivalent of the first Dragon Ball Z dub where a helicopter is blown up and someone off-screen says "Oh look, I can see the pilot's parachute. He's okay." In reality, that guy is fucking dead.

I bought Rogue Squadron for PC at an Office Max, of all places, back in 2002 when I was 13 years old. Oh, I loved it so much! Watching this video was such a nice nostalgia trip for me. Thank you for posting it!

Man I wish I had the 420th thumb. This is such the greatest game. Got all medals as a kid. It's a massive blast filled with feedback and magic.

I absolutely loved this game! I remember turning my nose up on it at first as I was a big fan of X-Wing and TIE Fighter, and it didn't feel as if this game was quite as in depth or as grown up as those (stupid things you think as a kid!), but it was so much fun - although I remember one mission that I absolutely could not get past - I think it was on one Fest where you had to protect some ATPTs or something, but i could never complete it without cheating!

Excellent job, you make it see like an actual movie of the rogue squadron, lots of action and thrill in this playthrought well done my friend

I first played this game when I was a chiled even though I don't understand it because I don't speak english back then it was really awesome, I still play it from time to time for nostalgia, and I got this game from Wingman gamepad AND that still works today after 20+ years 🤣

How do you play this game so stable? My steam version has tie fighters shaking all over the place when they fly and the camera goes wonky sometimes.

I love playing this but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to disable full screen mode. Like if I want to stream gameplay to discord or something. Also how do you get the game to run 60fps? I never got my version from steam to run so smooth

Oh wow i remember when my parents had a compaq computer display and we had this on pc. I played the shit out of this game when i was a kid. I remember it used to crash all the time haha my dad worked on an aircraft carrier and got me hooked on flight simulators back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s man time goes too quick. This game was badass easily the best star wars flight sim out there i remember getting stuck on moff seerdon’s revenge forever and i eventually beat him haha. It was tough

I think I remember there was some cheat code to play as an AT-ST. I could only dream about piloting an AT-AT (or play MechWarrior and pretend I was in an AT-AT) until Battlefront came out and made it real.

So many memories…especially of screaming at the screen because those stupid AT-PTs im the Fest mission had armor made of toilet paper.

Man, for all the negative reviews on GOG, it seems to run and control just fine.

If you have gotten all golds on every mission. All ships are available for every mission except the Speeder missions.

How'd you get the game to run so well? When I try to play the enemy ships are jiggling around like crazy and the camera keeps getting scuffed.

@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo I just ran it on the computer idk if it was windows 10 or not but what was happening was the 3rd person view wouldn’t work properly and the camera did not stay with the ship. The ship just flew away and the camera stayed in one spot. I figured If I went to cockpit view that camera should just stay where it needs to and it did. it should just be one of the toggles. I think it might be F8 on the keyboard if not that it could be F1-F5. See if it works.

Switching between different camera angles fixes it if the camera stops and ship continues to fly forward

B wings and Tie Bombers are slow. Just like in Classic Star Wars Battlefront 2.

It's your torpedo and ion charge button the cable deploys when your near a at at as for the ion hold down the button!

I bought this game on steam and was having a great time until the game crashed at the completion of Imperial construction yards mission, After that it will also give me video bugs when I start the game. I've tried little tweaks here and there on the game folder but nothing seems to work. It's a shame that they haven't fix this bug since the 90's then again, it is a very old game intended for older computers. Great game nevertheless.

Nope. They are the same music files as in the N64 version. I own the physical PC release and it only has data near the center of the cd.

For a game released in 1999 it looks just fine

The only thing I didn’t like about this game was the Death Star level it felt like it was rushed and no effort went into it
