As someone who watched the first Transformers animated series as a kid, I really loved the idea of a game that is based on that classic style. The robots and transformations look awesome! The gameplay is pretty much like Bayonetta and it was made by the same team. There is a lot of stuff to upgrade like weapons and stats. The settings are the downside of this game. They are overused and get boring quickly but the fights are epic and make up for them.

Nice. They even kept in the G1 Constructicons' weapon add-ons / fist holders.

With this game, it's safe to say that Activision's time with the Transformers licence ended on a high note!

The ground soldiers remind me of the episode "City Of Steel" where the Constructicons changed regular cars into remote controlled attack drones.

Optimus Prime is one of my favorite characters

the best transfomers game (sorry cybertron series) its like an episode of the classic G1 cartoon ever has the VOs as well

Cel shading technology/graphics in games looks amazing, when done right. This and Ultimate Spider Man are two good examples 👍

hell yeah

They're missing a few key sound effects - the sound of Megatron's Ion Cannon and Optimus Prime's laser rifle. But those are small nits to pick compared to the rest of the game.

Awesomeness

this game was awesome then and it’s awesome now. It needs a rerelease. especially with the advent of studio series gamer edition.
