I agree with Vasiliy: at 4:35, Washington’s Banks is VERY close to dropping the ball before it has actually crossed the vertical plane above the goal line. I wonder if this was before the NFL instituted automatic review of all TD plays. That sort of careless showboating turns a great return into a bonehead play.

@AndrewBlechinger4 жыл бұрын
3:41 Wow. Leave it to the Lions to mess up downing a punt inside the 10. Edit: Okay, I get it now. This happened in 1994, when a punt had to be downed by the kicking team if it was in the end zone. Everyone assumed it would roll past the end line for a touchback, but it took a Ram bounce to stay in bounds and Bailey capitalized. The rule changed in 2004 where a punt was automatically a touchback if it crossed the goal line, hence these acrobatics by the coverage team to keep it out of the end zone without going in themselves. So until this rule is changed back, that 103 yard punt return TD will stand as the NFL record.

Hall and other Chiefs returners have also taken kickoff returns end zone to end zone just like Hester.......
You're easily the most underrated highlight KZreadr... You've been posting BANGERS 🔥🔥🔥 but you only have 6k subs?! Underrated as fuckkk
None of these guys can top what Dante Hall could do or even did in 13 straight games. He was special.
Was that Jim Lampley on the Pickens return? I don't remember him doing NFL broadcasts.

I love your videos! It's great to see someone who uses plays from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Also, if you don't mind me asking, where do you find these clips at?
If you look at the one with Banks on the redskins he let the ball go before he got in the touchdown

Yeah just like Jackson did
That American portrait commercial though! 🤣 😁 I'm happy for both of them!
That music in the old school videos is the best lol
I agree with Vasiliy: at 4:35, Washington’s Banks is VERY close to dropping the ball before it has actually crossed the vertical plane above the goal line. I wonder if this was before the NFL instituted automatic review of all TD plays. That sort of careless showboating turns a great return into a bonehead play.
Dante Hall is the most underrated returner in history. Easily the second greatest return man of all time
Had forgotten how incredibly fast,Dexter McCluster, was.

When tyreek hill stiff armed his own teammate to the ground😂😂😂
okay, you left out the DeSean Jackson return. that was the whole reason i was watching this video.
Dante Hall was the best. Now we have Hill !!! Love it.

I just came here to comment that. Pause at 4:35 and watch frame by frame (using . and , if you are on a keyboard). He clearly lost control of the ball before getting in.

It was a shame it wasn't reviewed. He's just going to be another dude who returned a punt for TD, but if it was overturned he would be immortalized as an idiot.
7:35 good heads up, insane!!
The Batman music from those old clips is AWESOME.
thanks for the video
The crack back blocks got me lol
football season can't come soon enough. sundays just arent the same without it. :(
Got to love chiefs have three on this list thought we have more.. 3 great punt returners.. we did have one against us.. forgot about barker
I love how the announcers say touchdown before the returner gets the touchdown
that play by bailey gee whoever is his son/daughter should be so grateful that there his son/daughter
At 4:30 he dropped the ball before getting into the end zone check for yourself
*skips past the old skool returns*
Gonna have to add one more from tonight
I almsot gave you a "C'mon Man' for no Devin Hester... but I looked up his stats and see he's had a few 89 yarders so I can see why he was excluded. His 90+ yarders were all kickoff returns

I was thinking the same thing
That Patrick Peterson return was something else..
The rams one, there’s a new rule now
Thx for adding the Cardinals on the thumb nail
R.I.P to my longest punt returns video..
Special teams are special for a reason.
Well linebacker
8:19 Talk about a miracle play, Bailey was on point with that ball bounce, picked it up, hauled ass, runs a 103 yard punt return from endzone to endzone to score (first to ever do it and sets an NFLrecord), and the saints were just full of question marks. You just gotta respect that one. What are the odds of that ever happening again?
the dallas cowboys punt return at 2:45 was my favorite
We gotta give a hand to the kickers just for kicking it this far
The Redskins return at 4:34, did he let go of the ball before he crossed into the touchdown? From a couple of times rewatching and pausing, it looks VERY close to me.

Occasionally they do 😉
Dante Hall was exciting.
The longest return i remember is cowboys almost in the edge of the field And was made with only 10 men in the field
Damn...where is the Devin Hester highlights
Patrick Peterson joint was lit
amazing jukes by the chiefs
2:34 😂 Alex Smith has entered the chat
Came for my boy pat pete
:41 block in the back on the punter.
I watched Nate Burleson run that t.d back in the day.
Can we just talk about how far the punts were
Gotta feel for the punters on most of these. They’re putting it inside the 10 or even 5yd line ( a great punt! ) and then he ends up being the last guy to get blown up or laid out as it’s returned for a TD. Ouch.
FIRST CLIP, DUDE SHOOK HIM HARDDD
Gotta respect the kickers who actually try to tackle lol
3:30 Who knew the World Champion Houston Astros catcher could field a punt like that?
Kinda feels like athletes and the NFL discovered speed around 2003.
Dante Hall had the best one against Denver. KC started 9-0 that year

I didn't know Carl Pickens returned punts.
awesome
good vid
Did not know Carl Pickens returned kicks
Is it just me or does the older footage look like they run in slow motion
Pat Pete did em dirty
So big returns for TDs thanks to terrible special teams? Also, what was with the screwed up crowd noise during the second Bears' return?
Wait what about the Ravens vs San Francisco punt return by jacoby jones
1:30 I never knew Carl Pickens returned punts... Or Dez for that matter 3:22
Like the old sound track at 10:56
The last one was the more clearer an the best in my opinion.
The rams one still confuses me. I thought if the ball goes into the end zone it’s a dead ball? Or touchback.

5:15 What about #57 for the packers, he almost tackles his own returner to start with then proceeds to run along side him by the sideline where there is no possibility of him throwing a useful block but there is a possibility of him accidently tackling him again. Their feet almost get tangled up and he could have easily tripped him.
The fact Devin Hester isn’t in any one of these
