I like that this was a beautifully foolish endeavor in and of itself
The Brothers Green really need that Sharpie sponsorship.
So we've gotten to the part of quarantine where I'm watching two videos about markers? Yeah, I'm cool with this.
i'm disappointed that 'longer version' meant 'a 9 minute nicely polished video' and not 'the raw footage of this project in its entirely for 30-60 minutes'
I kind of wish this didn't mention signing your book so the average youtube viewer could just think you were some crazy pen guy
This still felt like 4 minutes
But which marker signed the most pages per dollar spent? Sharpie may have the most longevity, but is it the best value?
John signs thousands of sheets of paper: * gets signing psychosis *
I love everything about this. I should be working, but I’m eagerly watching a grown man compare pens. I might suggest donating all of the unused pens to your closest school. Teachers go through a lot of pens!!
This is the kind of basic research that keeps humanity moving forward
The real question is which of these pens signed my copy?!?
"I'm gonna spend way longer than 4 minutes on this so there'll be a longer version on Hank's channel."
Don't mind me watching both the vlogbrothers and hankschannel videos back to back
I didn't know what it meant to be a John or a Hank, but Hank spending all this time and energy figuring out something John not only already knew, but had also already told him, proves that I'm a Hank
This was extremely entertaining and I realised at the end that I just watched Hank talk about pens for 10 minutes and loved every 10 of them
I want data like number of pages signed, hanks personal comfort rankings! As a mathematician the most interesting part of science is the statistics!
Video should have been titled "Sharpest Tool In the Shed ULTIMATE DIRECTORS CUT"
This is clearly educational content with extreme value, this full video could have been on vlogbrothers with no penalty.
The Sharpie ultra fine is my go-to pen for note-taking and other pen tasks. I'm not signing thousands of pages obviously. The ultra fine lasts a very long time and puts down smooth lines. The only time I regretted the Sharpie was when I used it in my moleskin notebook and it bled through the paper like crazy. So the other favorite I have is the Pilot G2 0.7mm gel roller.
this is the hard hitting marker journalism that I come here for.
