My mother is the first child of her mother and father: a Bahamian father and an American mother. She met her father, for the first time at the age of 25 and it was as if they had been waiting for her, my mother’s father let everyone know that she was his first born child lived in America.Though, she was not raised by him all of her Bahamian siblings say she is most like their father. Her American siblings have always referred to her as a foreigner, strange, different not like them. We are from south Florida and people always think we are West Indian; we represent our African-American heritage however people literally tell us we aren’t, funny. This reunion made me cry; completion.

Anyone else grin like crazy when Laura and Ntennstood up to see who is taller? That was so adorable. I feel bad for the twins and the lack of affection they received. I love lids and love on them even if they are strangers. They call me Auntie at church because when the babies are crying they bring them to me. They hit this shoulder or lap and go straight to sleep. I can’t have kids anymore and I’m too sick to adopt. It fulfills me. I just don’t see how someone can not be affectionate toward children.

@@sharonhamilton9496 Making more kids under stringent conditions is how nature works. Europe’s population blow-ups happened in 2 separate occasions. First during the period of our Oliver Twist poverty stricken era when most Europeans were forced by hunger and poverty to migrate to what was once 3rd world countries in the 19th century! The second occasion was during and just after the Great War (WWII), the baby boomer years! Food rationing wasn’t even a notch in the problems created. Britain shipped its last orphans from the orphanage to its ex-colonies in 1962 ( to South Africa ). They were seen as problems for the state. At the same time UK was shipping in strong able men from the British Empire overseas territories of the Caribbean to feed its labour force in UK. Ever heard of the Windrush generation? Even prisoners with heinous crimes are allowed to have babies! Again what was the atmosphere and and availability of family planning in the world in general and Nigeria to be specific 40-50 years ago. When did we in the west even discover the pill? This man took responsibility for all his kids that were in his reach and would have done the same for Laura! Are you against interracial relationship? Just asking!

The twins is a sad story. You know they have crossed paths and never knew being so close in distance. Maybe even stood in line at the same time, or had a slight ' how are you ' chat on passing. Its very sad they were lied to and blamed for their mothers passing that never happened. The guilt that laid on their daily lives was all for nothing. I hope they find peace with that in this life time. This one broke my heart.

This!!! Imagine sitting in a coffee shop, or standing in the checkout line at the store with your blood sister and not knowing it?! And you can tell by their demeanor that they may have been raised without a lot of affection (not that they are bad people, they just don't show a lot of emotion). And to hear that their mother who died so young and so sudden bless her heart, was very affectionate just adds to the sadness of it all. I’m not sure how some of you couldn’t see the genuine love of Andrew to Laura. I mean I think I know why, but ugh. He told every one of his children from day one that Laura was their sister and as special as each of them. If his daughter can forgive him then it’s none of any of your judgemental asses why he wasn’t there.

I am an African and understand why a sad could not make the journey to the UK and yet afford to have 12 other kids. The exchange rate Naira to the British pound may be so high as to make it impossible for the average family to afford a ticket! Bringing up children in Africa is a lot cheaper and cost of education normally affordable! People with many often are able to have the older children look after the younger ones financially as well.During the fifties and sixties parents generally had many children only stopping when the wife could not conceive anymore. For example I was born when my 1st two sisters were already working and there is a 20+age difference between me and my eldest sister.

What a stunningly beautiful woman Laura is and to finally meet her biological father and brother. It's beautiful to know that her father made it known to his family of her existence. A Father's *LOVE* is fulfilled upon meeting his daughter for the first time! 😭❤ For a child to lose her Mum and then her twin siblings soon thereafter is so heart wrenching. I was sadden to hear that the adopted twins never had a "happy/loving" upbringing with their adoptive mother. So happy that they know the truth of their biological mother's demise and that they were not the so called cause of her death, a burden they had carried all these years! GOD Bless...🙏🏽✝️❤
