Any parent who tells an adopted child they'll be sent back as some kind of disciplinary action is cruel and should not have the privilege of having that child.

I so agree! I wasn’t adopted but I was just as unwanted..My mother didn’t want me so she sent me off to my dads, he and his wife also found me to be a burden. I will never understand why people adopt kids or have babies but don’t want them. I ran away and raised myself at 12 yrs old. Thank goodness I did ok, I know I could have gotten messed up with the wrong crowd, but I did well. I don’t feel sorry for myself at all, but it just angers me how people find children to be so unimportant.

Yes. It is how it should be. A good father teaches his son that they are never too old or it is never improper for getting affection from their father or giving such to him. The same goes with mothers and daughters.

John’s adoptive parents making him feel that he wasn’t really a part of the family, but him not knowing why until the age of 13 when he inadvertently found out he was adopted. That despicable mother of his telling him when he misbehaved that she’d “send him back”. Sometimes I don’t know how people turned out decently.

I'm sure John and Steven will be close from this point onwards, I'm just always heartbroken by these stories of families not finding out about each other for 40 or more years. Adoption is finally becoming more open now, with some adoptive parents including bio parents and siblings as well as half-siblings in family gatherings and I think that is wonderful. Everyone has a need to know where they came from as evidenced by the millions of people taking advantage of the many ancestry websites available now to do DNA testing and let people know of relatives they may have had no idea about, or to find out how their families came to be in a certain country where they weren't born. I've joined that group, had my DNA done, and have discovered some wonderful things I never knew about grandparents and other relatives. For instance, my mother's last name showed up differently three generations ago. During my search for her background I came across a ship's manifest - the ship that my great-grandfather emigrated on; everything was handwritten in those days and a single letter in her last name, an "a", was written by the documenting clerk as an "o", and when my grandfather disembarked from the ship he decided to just leave the name with the "o" in it instead of doing all the paperwork that would have been required to explain the mistake and change it. My mother died before I did this research and I doubt that even she knew about it. I also discovered that one of my grandfathers, who was a dentist, was the first flying dentist in Canada. He had his dental office where they lived in northern Manitoba, but made monthly trips with a mobile dental office to the Northern Territories in Canada to do pro bono dental work in the severely deprived Indigenous towns and settlements.

I was 11 years old when a close relative told me that my mom left to NY (we were living in Puerto Rico) because she was pregnant. I didn’t believe him. At 14 while cleaning the closet I found my half brother birth certificate and the papers my mother relinquishing her maternal rights. My mom found out that I knew about it and started beating me every single day until I couldn’t no more. Wrote to my father who still lives in NYC that I wanted to go with him because of the beatings. He said no because he had a wife and a lover 😤 and obviously for him that was more pressing than his daughter’s needs. Fast forward I got pregnant in order to leave home and all I got was more beatings, he even threw food that was burning in the pots at me and I wound up in the hospital with my eldest son. Later I had a daughter with him. At 17 I left the kids with the paternal grandmother and went to NY. Nobody knew I was going to NY. I slept that day in the house of some people I met on the plane. Later I called my father and he picked me up me up, took me to where he was leaving, now his 3rd “wife” and I lasted about 2 months. Went to live with an aunt who was sweet for a couple of months until I was able to find me an apartment. I think that I may have found my half brother after DNA 🧬 because a close match that I have it’s either a great uncle or a half nephew. He lives nearby the city I used to live in NY and I’m probably going to see if I can find him. Because of his name on AncestryDNA and the city, I was able to find a picture of him. He played football 🏈 for his HS an and hoping someone can help me. I already called the school but they are not going to give out that information.

What a horrible thing to say to a child; "if you are bad, we will send you back". Why did this women adopt a child only to make him feel how easily he can be removed from a home and returned to be unwanted again. Terrible person to say such a thing.

  • @lijohnyoutube101

Adoption is a very emotional and hard process for all involved. Many people are broken, many have tried for years to be pregnant and suffering with mental illness due to the disappointment. Many have unrealistic dreams of parenthood and cope with the reality. Many think they will end up with a child they will instantly click with and mold into whatever they want but they end up with someone that is an actual person with their own personality and it may be significantly different than the adopted parents. None of that makes the abuse okay but it does give a broader picture.

True brotherly love right there. Would be nice if the whole world was more compassionate towards one another. Wouldn't have to worry about senseless wars, crimes, criminals, or careless money hungry, greedy individuals that would do and say anything to stay above water. They don't have a care in the world for humanity. Instead of countries working together to find cures for different kinds of Cancers and ALL fatal diseases. Wish these brothers an amazing future with their new families. This is truly AWESOME!!

Happy all around. I thought the two sisters were so special and the one who lived in another country, how precious and kind her husband was. For the two brothers so much for them to come. I know from my own experience, you feel whole. For anyone rejecting meeting someone who is of your blood, you have no idea of what you are missing. These two sets are now whole and real life begins even in later years, every day is so special, precious and more.

Then to find out from his coach after looking at his B.C. that he was adopted must have been crushing and life changing for John😥😞.Its great that John has a loving family, children and a grandson..its clear to see that he's a loving, sweet, kind person..I hope everything worked out for him and his journey❤

There is nothing like a sibling. My best friend was my brother and I miss him so much as he died too early. My other best friend was my cousin and we grew up like sisters. She also died too early. My other best friend is my younger brother. We fought like crazy as kids but are so close as adults. There's nothing like a family bond.
