The event yesterday in Houston appears to be straight line winds, and really seems to be reminiscent of a derecho event.
As for our area, we'll be stuck in the clouds this weekend due to the easterly flow, however there should be only isolated chances for mainly sprinkles, as the low pressure area developing stays to the SW.
