In this game, I play really well compared to Ep 1. I am still very inconsistent. 1 month to the tournament.

Thank you! Speaking of the theme of this game - inconsistency - I lost quickly in rapid right after this - A line I will have to add to my repertoire. I wanna play a lot of rapid this month and buff up my repertoire. Reached 1800s in daily after recording this.

Book-wise, I'd go with "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess" But what made a big difference for me - and I will mention him a lot in this series - is IM Josh Waitzkin. I'll give you his playlist. Just watch passively. No boards, just watch. He'll make the game seem so simple. Then alternate between playing a lot of games (rapid) and do puzzles. Let me know how it goes! Good luck and have fun. Be patient. This game takes time to learn. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gKmXvKWsebbTpKQ.html&ab_channel=AyrtonTwigg

what are your thoughts about facing the cpu instead of people for training purposes?

Depends on your level. If you are a beginner, it could be fun to challenge yourself to beat stronger and stronger AI's with chesscom. In my case, when I decide to add a move to my opening repertoire, I like testing the position vs Stockfish and survive the best I can. I stop when I lost the equivalent of a pawn and evaluate my performance.

@@ChessLateBloomer Nice! I have a theory that facing stockfish in winning endgames would also turn you into a chess boss over time ;)
