I was in the middle east in the lates 80s and we had married men living away from the wives for years on end, they could not bring the families back then, it was not easy. I observed relationships were formed i.e. local wife (gf). I would not judge them, not everyone is strong. I would never recommend this kind of a situation, no money is worth it.

All this is absolutely true,i have seen it infront of my eyes many families breaking 😮sad reality

My In laws are from the village .. I am in Govt job . Since the time of birth of my child they have been forcing me and my husband to build them a house in the city so that they can bring their daughters children to live with them as schools are not good in villages . They want to create a khichri which I detest . My SIL doesn’t have in laws and hardly any relations with her husbands relatives. SIL husband interferes in our affairs a lot. My husband is posted in some remote hill location .

I can sense u already r so much frustrated by ur in-laws... B them at village or in city near u.... 1. City life which ever it may b it is expensive..... In village ppl get whole month veggies for free or say half a rate than city.... In city only veggies will cost them 700 per month.... City life is overall expensive.... Doctors visit, education be it school,tution.... N overall lifestyle to maintain.... Who will take care of all this expenses???? Even u buy them a house??? Ask ur saas n saasur they can come at ur place but not ur sil... U can't afford... Straight away u can say...

Its an era of dating apps. So, concept of long distance marriage exists just to show society that we are happily married but internally they get engage with outside partners due to easy access of Tinder, POF etc etc. through mobile phone. I feel Amit sir you are not much aware about these apps. I can say hardly 1% couple due to spiritual reasons may not be using dating apps but rest every one every where and even office (concept of office spouse also there) find their like minded partners very easily. These days even normal marriage is struggling due to dating apps and you are discussing about long distance marriage and its solution through your pizza cost workshop 😅.

Sir I will give you one true case study Husband posted in Small rural hilly town in Uttarakhand in Govt sector , Husband and wife from plain area of Uttarakhand. Wife recently delivered child and came to live with husband after recovery . Now wife is full of loneliness because can’t seem to adjust to culture of hills , relatives not there , no friends Evenings can get really boring in hills with long uphill distances to walk even for small amenities Wife adjusted for some. Time but now they keep fighting over petty issues 🙏

One thing I would like to say is that long distance marriage is an ancient thing and not a new age problem according to me. In earlier times it was quite a common thing that after marriage the man used to keep his newly married wife in his home and leave for work to long distant places. The newly married wife used to wait and wait in hope of her husband alone with the new in laws. In certain cases loyal husbands used to remember their wives but in many cases the wives existence was completely forgotten by the husbands. In many year times after marriage the wife was not brought to her in laws house and was kept in her parents house. Many years used to be spent without each other just in hope and memories......

I really believe mariners should retire earlier. They earn a LOT. and it’s tax free money. So just put an aim ki itna paisa collect hone ke baad I will stop my work. That way your employment satisfaction is there as well as family enjoyment. I don’t think mariners should work beyond 45. At max. Otherwise then you would have missed your entire youth as well as your child’s childhood. My friends father is a gas ship captain. 6 months home 6 months on ship. Unko 4 bacche unke aas paas aise mehmaano ki tarah ghoomte hai it’s so awkward to see. Though he gets the girls lots of expensive gifts. Or takes them holiday whenever they halt. But they see him as just that. An ATM. It’s actually awkward to see their interaction with their father😅
