I use the Metro bus and train everyday for work and school, and it’s so scary when people who are clearly intoxicated or mentally ill who come close to me screaming, yelling incoherent words, and try to touch me. Luckily I move away or avoid eye contact so I won’t get attacked. It’s a real problem and it’s increasingly dangerous and saddening that this is occurring more often.

Demand change from the people u elect or stop electing them. There’s a difference between caring for someone and enabling them

If the Metro would ensure people actually paid for tickets or passes, this wouldn't be a problem!

Try riding a train to work because you can’t drive. You have to always dodge Homeless people taking up two or three seats. Some are just sleeping, but others are often yelling and threatening people. Sure, let’s let them stay on the train 24/7 so that the city doesn’t have to do anything…. That will just turn the train into a moving homeless encampment.

Yeah imagine riding to work/school/grocery stores, etc. and being shoulder to shoulder with people who are seriously so mentally ill and/or intoxicated folks who are urinating and puking everywhere.

Why are they even allowed on the train to begin with. You need to pay to ride the train. It's the same excuse from these no good politicians.

Over where I live every business for a mile stretch has had their windows smashed. They scream throw stuff and leave needles. It’s disgusting let’s move them to the rich neighborhoods or where the politicians live. They don’t care cause it’s not their neighborhood

And to think Gavin Newsome is hinting at a presidential run. That guy is completely out of touch.

I had a moment at work where a homeless women walked into the area I worked and began to change her clothing and even insert her tampon in the back area where I bring in shopping carts, and im there like "Lady we have a restroom inside where you can do that" and she said "Oh no im fine, its dirty in there" So yeah I used to feel sorry for these people, now they just get me so angry seeing them now.

They constantly say that such and such a billionaire has donated so much, but they cannot build a simple psychiatric hospital for the mentally ill, so the patients live right on the street. So, they constantly lie about this charity, and billionaires just walk away from taxes. In the richest country in the world, mentally ill people do not have the opportunity to meet basic needs.

I think that we as citizens we should pull our money together and rent a tour buses and give the homeless free tours of our politicians homes and drop them off there. Tour guide - “ and next up is the luxurious home of our congress women Maxine Watters …..yes we can drop you off so you can get a better look “ .

This is not on the Metro system. Its on the city officials. Downtown LB used to be garbage. Then cleaned up & nice. Looks like its going back to being a dump. Shame!

I'd like to see more homeless camp out in front of homeless advocate and other city official homes. Unfortunately, city govt's are listening to these advocates and won't do a thing about it...
