Long Beach Container Terminal at the Port of Long Beach Now Complete

The Port of Long Beach ushered in the next era of environmentally sustainable operations on Aug. 20, 2021, with the completion of the Long Beach Container Terminal at Middle Harbor, one of the most technologically advanced cargo facilities in the world.

    Looks like a lot of ship to shore cranes and container cranes without equipment operators in them to me. Just like California look we are so green but we don’t have people in our equipment.

    There are operators in the STS cranes and they also have man-powered tractors in their rail

    Joshua, cranes won’t operate if the dock is at capacity. Nowhere to unload the containers. .

    Double the capacity, green, less manning by eliminating jobs through automation, and yet shipping cargo still costs an arm and a leg. Putting people out of work, increasing income for management, and no price drop for increase in efficiency. Ahhh! Unfettered capitalism! Gotta love it!
