"Lonely Are The Brave" - Kieran Kane & Rayna Gellert

Музыка

Kieran Kane & Rayna Gellert performing their song "Lonely Are The Brave"
from the album "The Flowers That Bloom in Spring"
(Dead Reckoning Records 2022)
About this video:
We set up a camera one afternoon to capture us at work in our little bunkhouse studio (which is situated by a lake in the Adirondack Park). We were just hoping to get a little documentation of where and how we work, but we happened to capture the take of this song that ended up on the album... so this is it, top to bottom. At the end you'll see us reacting to a motor boat going by on the lake (which, if you listen on headphones, you can hear as the track fades out).
Tech notes: we recorded the whole album using only Soyuz 013 FET mics directly into a Zoom R16.

I heard you two live last weekend and when I heard this song before, during, and after the show, I was hearing that one lyric as "your heart on everything" which really made sense to me and was kinda brilliant, but today listening again I realized you may well be saying "You're hard on everything." 😊 Hmmm...no lyrics in the CD case. Thanks for sharing your beautiful music.

Love it! Wonderful harmonies, instrumental tones, song. May I suggest that the camera angle/setup be improved so we don't just mainly the back of Kieran's head?

Ha! If you’ll read the description you’ll see this wasn’t shot for this purpose - we thought maybe a little clip might be fun to use in a longer piece about our recording situation there. But since we happened to get the “keeper” take on film, we thought we’d share the whole thing. (It’s a small room, had to use wide angle to even get us both in the shot!)
