Great job Dale... my son came home from CU Boulder in his freshman year and said 'I'm going to join the navy, I saw Marcus Luttrell speak and I'm going to be a Navy SEAL'. Well like most dreams and aspirations you know it will always be an uphill battle. Marcus you, and your comrades, are an inspiration that speaks volumes to young men across this nation, please keep it up. As for my son... well he is currently a combat medic in the Navy and a sniper instructor... 6 years a SEAL. He is the best of the best because of men like you. Please keep moving forward as our nation will benefit from those that are strong.

Marcus Luttrell’s book Lone Survivor really helped me a lot. I have some medical issues that made me depressed and feeling alone as I am sick most of the time. It really put into perspective what a bad day really is. Having a positive mindset can get you through almost anything. ❤

go watch "the wrongest movie ever made - mark wahlbergs lone survivor". Unfortunately, it's almost all a nonsense story made up to cover for a horrible operation. They have all the receipts. Pretty sad living a lie, given how amazing the dude actually is.

Green Berets that rescued Marcus said he was carrying all full mags. He couldn’t recall where Axel was, they spent too much time listening to his bs story and May have been able to get A el out alive. They said when they found Axel, he was lying against a tree. Looked like he was dead for no more than a day and a half.

He isnt kidding about the the time frame of when it was the craziest over there. 01 to 06 was nuts. Not that its wasnt bad other times, but after awhile our government started to really come down hard on rules of engagement. This is one of the reasons contractors were used because we had very loose rules of engagement.

As a civilian I only had friends (and a select few clients) serve and not had any of these experiences in the least as far as personal military/war/violence. Civilian shooting at the range and or practicing amateur skills - even past higher level Athletics and even combat sports don't relate much, IMO. I've read most of Marcus's books and about 15 other books along the lines of this honor and seriousness. Mostly related authors and former soldiers of his caliber along with historical events. It's an absolute honor to know we have men like Marcus and his brothers (past and present) representing and protecting this country. So proud to be an American and haven't said that in a long, long time. This is quite possibly the best single podcast episode and likely the best conversation across multiple related human disciplines of the highest order of importance that I have ever had the honor and pleasure of listening to between two men. Thank you gentleman. God bless you both. 🙏

I knew about Marcus and seen a ton of his stuff. He’s awesome, what I didn’t know, is that he’s got a brother, might be twin brother and he’s just a fiery and fiesty as Marcus is, giving congress the business non stop so that was super cool to know also; their both badasses
