The "Haunted" Look in Marcus' eyes seems to have diminished quite a bit as time has passed. I for one, am very glad to see it. He's paid more than enough for a little peace in his life

I grew up when the school day started with a prayer, and the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. This is etched on my heart.

People say we need diversity and different cultures in America yes but, dont come here and complain about the American culture and values.. Nowadays alot of youth 1 generation Americans are acting like America is evil, its completely unbelievable. Like Reagan said on his farewell address.. Freedom is fragile, must be taught to our youth the importance, because freedom can be lost within a generation!! Wow so true.

If you've seen Marcus give similar "Speeches", you'll notice that his enthusiasm doesn't diminish one little bit. After all his time speaking to numerous groups, Marcus could have easily "Phoned it in" this time, but he gives it his best effort, like he was speaking to Both Houses Of Congress, The SCOTUS, and The POTUS Plus his Entire Cabinet and The Joint Chiefs Of Staff. He gives it all he's got....Every Damned Time. If Marcus thinks it's that Important, should we not Pay Attention Properly & with the courtesy that demands? If you're privileged enough to be in his presence and hear Marcus speak, you owe it to yourself to sit quiet and listen, because something he may say could end up saving your Career, or Your Life. That's just me, anyway

Wiki is not accurate either I can go write he was a porn star in Canada on there. Unless you’ve served keep your mouth shut. Don’t take away from the story you weren’t there. I’ve watched the story many times he stays true to it. If you know how to do land back figuring out 7 miles is not a hard thing to figure out. He said in a interview that he went back to a map of the area and that’s how he knew he crawled 7 miles.

tens of thousands? lol the US Army is over 400k troops! the Marine Corp is over 100k! Just goes to show even though this is great they are honoring Vets and active military which i applaud most US Citizens are way out of touch with what it takes to secure freedom! In 2017 Texas Military forces had 23,200 active personnel! Thats just Texas forces! So its more like tens of millions that have served this nation!

Who told that girl she can sing??? The hell I had to fast forward so it didn't ruin the video. That was a disgraceful display of "My mom said I can sing" and a massacre of the National Anthem.

A few Marines and the man responsible for saving, harboring, and defending the lone surviving Navy SEAL, Marcus Luttrell, have come forward to contest the movie and book’s portrayal of the events in Afghanistan. Gulab claims the SEALS were spotted by the Taliban as soon as they were inserted via helicopter. The Taliban reportedly went to the location of their insertion the following morning and began tracking their footprints. “They died because they were easily tracked, quickly outmaneuvered and thoroughly outgunned,” said Gulab. Gulab claims the locals said the Taliban already knew of the SEALs location and even watched as they interacted with the goat herders they spared. In the book, “Lone Survivor,” Luttrell says he fired round after round until he was almost out of ammunition. Gulab contests that account, saying that when he found and rescued Luttrell he still had his combat load, 11 full magazines. “Andrew MacMannis, a former Marine Colonel who helped draw up the mission and was on scene during the search and recovery effort for the dead SEALs and other military personnel, says there were no reports of any enemy casualties,” according to Newsweek. “I’ve been at the location where he was ambushed multiple times. I’ve had Marines wounded there. I’ve been in enough firefights to know that when shit hits the fan, it’s hard to know how many people are shooting at you. [But] there weren’t 35 enemy fighters in all of the Korengal Valley [that day],” said Patrick Kinser, a former Marine infantry officer who participated in Operation Red Wings.

963: The propaganda branch of the Defense Dept. usually do trot out a HERO when they feel the sheep need one or enlistment quotas are slipping. Look at the Jessica Lynch lie. Lynch lost control of the truck she was driving & injured herself in the resulting accident. Her convoy drove off without her, but she was found by Iraqi's & taken to an Iraqi hospital where she received the best care their understaffed & under supplied Hospital could manage. She was "rescued" after a Iraqi Doctor walked 12 miles, in the dark, to American lines and told them where she was, and needed care the Iraqi hospital couldn't provide. She had NEVER been in danger, yet the propaganda machine saw an opportunity and mounted a rescue operation fit for a Hollywood movie. Jessica Lynch- American HERO ...claimed every headline & Mainstream News Media in America. As usual, the sheep swallowed it hook, line, and sinker. They ALWAYS do.
