One of the biggest proofs that the Qur'an is the word 'God' is the mathematical and numerical mentioning and positioning of particular words within the Qur'an. There is an intricate, interwoven tapestry of words that fit together in a very sophisticated somewhat seemingly disordered but actually ordered structured form of words. If a single word was to be taken out the balance of words would be lost. It's as if there is a pool of words within the universe and 'God' has gone for the most perfect word choice for each verse of each section of each chapter of the Qur'an. The Qur'an can't be altered in anyway as this would effect it's harmony and synchronicity. To have that amount of structural, linguistic and mathematical miracles and who knows about the many unknowns it is impossible that an honest, truthful beautiful man of character who not forgetting to mention a long awaited and anticipated final prophet would be capable of producing something like that of the Qur'an let alone anyone else. How can anyone deny this book? The very scientific and methodological way of referencing the entire book back to credible sources right back to The Prophet is satisfactory and gives proof to the Ummah. But regardless, God has created man infallible and man is quite capable still of making errors, so it's only God himself to take it upon himself to preserve this perspicuous book.

This is a very satisfactory explanation for any open minded individual. For me, this showcases the meticulous manner in which Quranic preservation was handled I found the point about abrogation which Br.Ali used to be very interesting, but I think the issue with that is that it would be too exhaustive to claim abrogation for all the Ahruf that one comes by. This argument can be used for centralized examples, but it does not have the explanatory scope to explain the whole narrative I would definitely agree with the conclusion of this session that the view of Al-Tabari is the most comprehensive and has the most explanatory scope/power. It’s straight forward and makes life way more easier SubhanAllah But definitely an episode that I enjoyed, may Allah (SWT) bless all the participants, Allahuma Ameen!

22:09 It’s hilarious how they act like it’s a top Muslim secret. These people who believe that it’s a secret couldn’t even tell if a Qur’an recitation was a variant with their ears. I went on a Ka’ba livestream and they causally had someone reciting a variant reading of the Qur’an. No big deal. And you can go on other areas on KZread and you’ll reciters with variant readings receiving millions of views.

Ali sounds disrespectful to Hijab in some places there is no need for this considering how serious the subject is. Ali is not anywhere near on the same intellectual wavelength as Hijab so perhaps he needs to be more humble.

This is Sapience and the conversation needs to have a more serious undertone. It wasn’t a bit my brother. If it was, I genuinely wouldn’t have commented. If you watched the whole thing, at one point he gets too carried away and you can see the discomfort in Hijab’s face after he laughs it off. I’m not trying to read too much into it, but just saying that in such a serious topic, don’t get carried away. This isn’t a podcast. This is a teacher-student setting and the topic being discussed is too serious.

If ahruf are what I think they are (which are dialects) then I don’t get it, how can you get different dialects from 1 dialect? In other words, how can you get the 7 ahruf from the uthmanic manuscript that contained only 1 ahruf (qurayshi)?

Uthmān رضي الله عنه told the scribes to write the 'words' in Qurayshi dialect. The differing arose when they came across the word "تابوت" (Tabut). Abu Darda, being from Madinah, wanted to write "Tabut" with a "ة" at the ending whilst the other scribes, being from Makkah themselves, wanted to write it with "ت" at the end. So Uthmān just ordered them to write the word in the Qurashi dialect, (i.e with a ت)

Actually you can get different dialects from one dialect for example in Egypt nowadays you'll find different Egyptian dialects (not major pronunciation differences) just depending on the area, also same thing in parts of England and Canada

7:43 minute .... We need two witnesses for a specific verse . Ok how do we establish the truthfulness of those two individuals. We establish it based on the Quran and sunnah . Verses indicating the companions of the prophet are people of trust and ahadith establishing their مناقب . Now when what you are trying to do is to prove the authenticity of the Quran and sunnah in its totality by using the authenticity of those who have conveyed it whose authenticity is extracted from the Quran and sunnah itself .... Why is this a circular argument. ???

@@kabhussain3113 He points out issues with 1 harf is enough argument. His view is all 7 ahruf are preserved since Allah said he revealed the zikr and he will preserve it. Theres more to this but i will have to relook at the book to further explain why 1 harf argument isnt the best

What nonsense... The fact the Quran was codified means it wasn't protected or preserved. If memory of the Arabs was so good there would be no need to codify it. Why do muslims read the Hafs Quran? Who was Hafs and why muslims read his recitation? It is clear as mud to muslims.
