London weather is very much like Melbourne weather, I wasn’t very shocked when I experienced the 4 seasons in one day last October haha

Didnt know London was so cold in May! Cold for me (50°F to 64°F). Woo...I hope it's sunny.

I want that tube plush haha

Basically the temperture, is in the comfortable range from april to around early october, with some hot days in summer, but nights, can start getting a little chilly in late august-early september, so you can have as cold as 7c in london, at night and still get mid 20's during the day. Even winter can still have odd very mild, even fairly warm days. So pack, for every weather under the sun, when you come to london.

Being from Australia I recommend buying coats and jackets for cold weather in the UK because we do not have anything as cheap or as good here!!

I always feel the 'urban heat' and traffic smog hit me as I step off the train at Marylebone or Euston. Even if it's -1°C with a biting wind, in just a t-shirt and coat I'd still break a sweat! No other city but London..?

When I was there recently and this is all so true!! It noticed it was nice and fairly sunny in the morning then poured like crazy in the afternoon! What do you guys normally wear when it's around 5c (maybe feels like 0c) and raining? A rain jacket and just layers? Or those packable waterproof jackets?

Normally a jacket or coat that is good in the rain & a large umbrella.

Let's see...can't believe the forecast, weather will be four seasons in one day, if a snow flake falls the whole city will shut down. So pretty much exactly like Charlotte, North Carolina. Got it. ;)

In January, is cool or hot??

I am not a native Londoner. From my experience between late June and early August, London is quite warm with temperatures during noon at around 20° C. In that period for of one to two weeks the temperature may reach 30° C or higher. 30° C is normal for southern Mediterranean cities but for northern European cities like London and Paris can be dangerous. London usually during warm months has cold nights with temperature at 14° or even lower. So during noon a T-shirt is ideal but during late night a light jacket is needed. London doesn't have dry months like Southern Europe. All months are cloudy and rainy. A small umbrella is always essential for every London visitors. When I visit London I use weather apps on my phone which have hourly weather forecast. Some even show a live map with weather radar and how rainy clouds are approaching. That helps me to avoid carrying an umbrella all the time.

How humid does it get in summer? 25C is quite a comfortable temperature, provided that humidity is low, but I would say that would be quite unbearable if the humidity is up there at 80-90%.

It can get very humid in the summer in London. Syrus ;-)

If you have an iphone the weather app from Apple is good. I use it every day.
