Glad to see you are going back to Ukraine Alex some of your earliest vlogs on Ukraine were the best I support the Hospitalier battalion in Kyiv as my friend Ira is a instructor there maybe do a vlog on this subject in the future Alex if possible . Keep up your support for Ukraine and tell the world what is happening there you are a true patriot

Thanks Ray, Great to hear from you and thanks for your support. Can you send me more details on the hospitalier battalion? I’m currently in Odesa. Managed to do a lot of filming the last 2 days. Including being allowed access into the Odesa Cathedral wearing a hard hat. Today I plan to sit down at laptop and attempt to do some needed editing despite the amazing weather here. This is the first time I've seen one of your notifications pop up for months possibly this year! The last time I was in Ukraine was 2016 and I had to bluff my way over the Slovakia/Ukraine border as the hire car I had was supposed to stay in the E.U.

Glad you have my notifications on at least. Haven’t been back since 2022. Since then my residency has expired but I’ll find out later today when I cross the border if that will be problematic in crossing. Hopefully it shouldn’t be an issue. Watch this space and thanks for tuning in!

@@TheWonderingEnglishman Good luck and God speed! It's a very strict border crossing in peace time so I imagine it will be super strict now. They pretty much strip search every car during peace time.

Glad you see the light. Why anyone would cheer for the invasion of Ukraine is beyond my understanding. These people just like the USA and the UK didn’t choose their leaders or who their leaders choose to do business with. If that’s how a nation is judged then we are all lost. Especially the UK. Which is corrupt to the core and in the pockets of its Globalist paymasters. I’m now inside Ukraine.

@@TheWonderingEnglishman I majored in Russian history and minored in Russian language. I lived in St Petersburg, Russia for a few years as an English teacher at the US consulate. I also spent time in Estonia, Belarus and Ukraine and have been to Georgia and Kazakhstan where I have close friends. So I'm unusually tied to the whole nightmare of the war. Two of my friends were married in the cathedral in Odessa and I was at the wedding. It kills me to see what happened to it. I understand that Ukraine has extremists, but so do we. So does everyone. So I empathize with Ukrainians when Putin tries to slam them all with the de-Nazification nonsense. I have a lot of wonderful Russian friends, but there definitely is a belief among many Russians that Ukraine isn't a real country. The whole cult of The Great Patriotic War seems like a problem to me as well.

I fully hear you sounds like we have walked similar paths. Although you have clearly spent more time in Russia than I have. And yes I can relate to the Russian friends problem. They are blind to the propaganda they have been sucking up. I was in the Odesa Cathedral today. Video will come soon. Images are on my Instagram now. “@TheWonderingEnglishman”. Very sad to see what’s happened. The town is a shadow of its former self today.

how can you get in unless you have permanent residence or citizenship or some official status ?

Foreigners (except for citizens of the Russian Federation) and stateless persons have the right to enter and legally stay in Ukraine if they have a temporary or permanent residence permit that has expired or is subject to exchange after February 24, 2022.

Citizens of most western countries, including UK, USA, Canada etc. can enter Ukraine without a visa for up to 3 months. No permanent or temporary status required.

If you want to live a looong life in Ukraine stay away from anything that looks like Docks or warehouses or storage areas. Stay away from cafes populated by NATO guys and ESPECIALLY away from Hotels that house soldiers of any type. Stay safe.
