The wheel you asked about is the London eye it is open to the public and takes about 30minutes to make one complete rotation.

The London eye (Ferris wheel) is the perfect platform for this. They also use barges on the Thames.

Apparently it cost £2.3 million to put this on, amazing!!!

I’m lucky enough to see the show every year from my flat window…cool

I went there one year and it was amazing. Thankfully it was dry but boy was it cold. The half bottle of whiskey we bought did help keep you warm. It was a great aprty and some banging tunes were played and people sang and danced. I remember at one point ABBA's Dancing Queen came on and everyone sang along and danced it was truely magical.

I was actually there we go every year. It's an awesome sight

The fireworks cost 2.3 million pounds or approx 2.662 million US dollars. Always watch the new years fireworks on TV. Blows my mind.

I love fireworks shows like these, especially combined with music. Better then in the Netherlands. Where in every street fireworks are lit for three days by individuals. Without thinking about animals and people who do not like the noise of thunder all day long. And not to forget all the personal incidents and damage that occurs by civilians firing fireworks.

The netherlands fireworks is the best, having fun and lighting up fireworks yourself is the best feeling ever. Sadly those old bored people are destroying the tradition.

I used to work on the London Eye. It was great because we always got New Years off - as they needed a day before and after to set up and break down.

You should watch Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks!

I always watch the London fireworks on the live broadcast on BBC1. Even though new years is 1 hour later than where I live. It's a spectacel for sure! I want to see it in real life sometime, when I have the change. Athough the 2021 and 2022 ones weren't shot from the ferrishweel location, but somewhere else, and they weren't that good. 2022 involved drone, which can be cool as well, but I still prefer fireworks instead of drones. Hope they get back to the old style again. I think the last couple of years were different because of covid though, they didn't want to have masses of people gathering around it, to prevent spreading.

I always watch this, because when we are done shooting fireworks in the Netherlands this is on (1 hour time difference). Fun facts (this is my new years tradition), blue is the most expensive color in fireworks. And I always dreamed of being a pyro, but as a Dutchie you will have to go to the pyro school in Germany and it's all in German. (I can't speak or understand alot of German) Because of that pyro's aren't found that easily in Europe.

2012 in my opinion was the best London fireworks display and music.
