This brought back memories, I was here when this was going off, gave me goosebumps! We all went out clubbing after the display, it was an incredible night and atmosphere to be in!

I went to this my parents took me, I live in West Midlands about 130 miles away. I was only 13 at the time. The memory will be with me until i die!! Such an amazing time in my life at that time, I was in awe & was the best new year/ family occasion ever that new year😁.

A time when things were good, decent fireworks, everyone coming together, good music, no messages of certain things like over the last few years of virtue signaling and self gratification of the mayor of London for his strange reasoning. I wasn't there to see this in person, but was at a house party at the time up north on the TV. The sky was lit up all over aswell up here until about 1 or 2 am, good times. Every colour, creed, culture together, how it should be. But sadly the main one/event on the TV has become somewhat weird over the last few years. In a nutshell, I want it to go back how it used to be. I haven't really paid much attention to the ones on the TV over the last few years, it is only put on in the background because of tradition. We will do our own thing.

Honestly I have no idea what gets you people so wound up. Things like thanking the nhs is just a great thing to do after the ordeal they went through. Great fireworks and a new inspiring message with something to sum up the year makes it stand out instead of it being the same every year.

@@sunseeker9581 I have respect for the NHS, I have done for a very long time because of medical issues, I even clapped. What I don't think is appropriate is all the woke garbage over the last few years and the mayor of London getting the credit for something that taxes paid for this year gone. So what do you mean about people when you don't know me apart from on here. Also it did change from year to year because it was set/timed to/with different music. We have had the Queens/Kings speech to reflect on the year gone by for decades, we have the fireworks to bring everyone together as one and have a massive party to bring in the new year. Out with old and in with the new, and hope it's a good one. Not showing decisive topics that can divide opinion on a night when we are all meant to come together as one. So again, what do you mean about people like me who just want to party and get annoyed when they put a dampener on it?
