London's famous graffiti tunnel has been given a new lease of life as part of a regeneration project around the South Bank area.
Deep beneath Waterloo Station is the Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel which is covered in colourful street art and which is a joy to explore.
Leake Street graffiti tunnel is one of London's not-so-hidden gems. This 300 metre tunnel is the city's largest legal wall and has been a bastion of London's street art scene since 2008.
The Leake Street Tunnel - also known as the "Graffiti Tunnel" - - underwent its remarkable transformation in May 2008 when Banksy chose it as the location for the "Cans" festival that saw street artists - headed by Banksy himself - descend into the twilight world of the tunnel, and in a few days, the dark, grimy brick
