I had her leveled from PR grind and retrofitted her with the first vid you did about her, and i've been using her in 1:1 fleets on lower maps so much because she just shreds lower level fleets as well as easy and medium difficulty suruga, glad to know she is actually one of the best picks for those matters

Ok I'm on the mid of grinding neptune so I paired up my maxed out Belfast and Lvl 96 London Retro with lvl 1 skill, guess what? London stole the MVP..... *surprised pikachu*

You made a small Error on this one, Z23 Retrofit has 175% Maing Gun Effeciency not 160% Also, London Retrofit has 150% Effeciency on her main gun not 145%

Did her retrofit on the day London got hers, and no doubt, a real awesome ship until late game. And just on time too, I was farming EXPs for Neptune as well! X3

I can proudly say, she was my first full retrofit ^^ I had dumb luck farming cruiser blueprints, and because of it London and Portland were finished before even my starter xP

I'd probably go for Z23 retrofit. I've noticed I usually tend to prefer destroyers and light cruisers over heavy cruisers due to their faster weapon fire rate. Ships like London retrofit are obviously exceptions thanks to auxiliary weapon fire rate. If I have two destroyers or light cruisers (or one of each) with good fire power and high efficiency then I might add a heavy cruiser as the 3rd ship. Sandy retrofit has good and reliable damage output but Ayanami, even when retrofitted, has low main gun efficiency and low fire power and her damage mostly comes from torpedoes so I'd rather have a second ship that can fire quickly with main guns. If Ayanami was swapped for Z23 or Laffey for instance then I might consider having a heavy cruiser like Baltimore as the 3rd ship. That's only my opinion and I'm sure someone else might disagree with me which is fine. It also varies based on what I'm planning to use the fleet for. It may change based on story chapter, normal / hard, mob fleet / boss fleet, event, daily etc. so I can't say there is like one univesal answer here.

The most underrated retro is York IMO. Lv120 + 9% oath bonus 292 FP 155% Main Gun efficiency. +40% when Armageddon cannon active. Armageddon activation trigger from any of Main Gun, Torpedo, or Secondary fire. 345 per hit of AP damage to lv125 Suruga. Have both Secondary and Torpedo. Her Secondary can't be equipped, ignores armor type, also crit a lot. 190 TRP ish+ 165% torpedo efficiency. 95 EVA. Medium armor. Her speed and accuracy with Gyro is equal to a CL. HP lower than buffed Sheffield. QE is a thing when comparing with another faction ship. She MVP several times when i used QE, Enterprise, Ark Royal, Sheffield, Sirius, York team. Against EX Suruga.

sadly no, York is like the definition of average. 38k effective HP which is middle of the pact (Roon has 58k) 442 theoretical DPS which is lower than Takao Under current situation, I see no reason to even use York Retrofit, unless you run QE and want a Takao equivalent in the fleet.

I really recommend people to retro her especially if you're hms main like me, she's indeed has high dps and shreds light armored enemies with ease, plus she get a very cute outfit after retro, I'm so happy one of my favorite ships got the love and attention she deserves :D ,now we need wichita retro!

A little question OwO I see a lot of people use portland retro rather than london retro. I think both of them are pretty good but i running low on blueprints TwT So I wanna know which one is better so I know which one I should retrofit first

If i am running heavy cruiser for mob fleet, is it better to have repair tool instead of steering gear? (the other slot is for torpedo dildo for example) Especially if i don't use healer.

depends on the max HP/evasion ratio for that ship. I would usually go for steering gear.

Does she fit well in the HMS fleet? With the addition of Formidable and Monarch, I feel like HMS is becoming a more viable option, but I have no idea what are the best vanguard options. Apart from Belfast at least.

I've been using London ever since I started playing AL. Even before her retrofit I use her in late game maps including chapter 12. Though it is a struggle I didn't give up on her and ever since her retrofit came out I was so happy that I felt like my hard work has been paying off! I'm very happy to see that my best girl (London) is getting some attention ever since her retrofit came out! Thank you for spreading the word on London! She needs the attention.

Now we just need to wait for oath skin! :D 3rd day of playing the game when i got her from build and now 3 weeks later, she's my only oathed ship at lvl 102 and only retrofitted ship. Retrofitting was kind of hard but not regretting it, she performs really well in my hms fleet :D

its another 15% Firepower bonus, 3C likely didnt include it because QueenE drags your overall damage down a bit now-a-days due to how the Capital Ship roster have become much more stacked

I use her since her retrofit appeared, and one of the girl to farm Neptune

I love my London and York with their retrofits, not using them much currently but that is because I am working on finishing my last PR (Izumo) so I am running solo frontlines on maps I am missing drop ships from (9-4 currently) and am just using Portland for mob fleet to try to get her to 120 and Phoenix on boss since she is 120

Where did you get the numbers for the top 5 theoretical DPS heavy cruisers?

Is retrofit york good? In thinking of using her...

London is great ship, retroed her on the first day. And her great look is an awesome bonus to her efficiency.

I see that she is good - but is she really worth the higher oil cost taking her over Leander for lowlvl 1:1 or Phoenix for a bit safer lowlvl 1:1?

Depends on if you value time over oil. London will wreck shit fast, while Leander is stable and cheap, and Phoenix is slow but unkillable.

For the damage comparison, what is London's damage with QE buff? (since you kinda always deploy QE with HMS ships).

They seem to be completely fine for mob fleet so yea! you do quite need a tanky frontline tho, like Portkai

Hiei and Hamakaze and maybe some other weak destroyers.

I use her with Avora, Helena retrofit, Queen Elizabeth and Sara retrofit, some Royal buff meowfficers in chap 13. She DEALT OVER 5K DAMAGE PER FRICKING SHOT and still alive.

Who should I retrofit first?? Sandy or London? Anyone?

I understand what you mean for low level map but for this id rather use unicorn with Phoenix :^) great review and i might try her since i really dont know what 3rd ship to use for my hms fleet. Maybe i should try using that aux thing that change her to heavy armor?

she is just like same level as Wichita that can't tank damage even as a heavy cruiser, but have quite reliable DPM, and i'd prefer 127/38 dual for her aux gun on most map cuz the actual damage difference between 138 gold is less than 10% because of spreading firing pattern, and extra AA stat is quite useful for CA which has low AA stat unless you don't face enemy planes, but totally agree for using her in easy farming maps.

@@Just3c i already tried that method, but the foods and oils for 18k exp is dried quickly while i lvling other 115s Im f2p, and im in endgame state Its sad seeing my 2 fleets is 115s and 120s while my collection ships stuck at 70s - 90s :( Umm, there is other better methods?

if your oil goes down while doing 1.2k oil commission, that means you are farming quite a lot. You can put Lv70 ships to chapter 12 leveling, just make sure you have other strong ships to carry the fleet. you can level very low lvl ships in chapter 12.

@@Just3c yeah, lol Im very active AL player umm, sadly that method is not so oil efficience (only for 1x lvl 70 ship in chap 12-2) cause get 1.3k exp for non MVP I can get exp more, with my oil efficience fleet + LB0 sensei ships + 1x MVP ship girl in 7-2 for lvling 70/90 - 100 Like average 1.9k exp for 22 oil +/- But its only for 1 lvling girl, more sadly I need mass lvling maps for lvling 70s But i cant find it :( Thx for your answer btw, its helping me :) Do you have any idea except that 2 ways?

Totally agree with you this time, in this resent crosswave event i use her along Z23 to farm the hard mode, comparing both she most of the times do the same and later more damage (after she gain a few levels) that Z23 that was equiped with offensive gear. totally a jewel, shes the reason i wanted to do a RN fleet made around her.

York is about the same as Takao, Exeter is 70% Takao, both are not very interesting and got nothing to review

Her design is also really amazing

so she's a glass cannon ship. She's not my favorite, but she's solid enough to use while farming. I will be working on leveling up Ibuki this event but mite get her to 120 after that (already have her to 100)

They should have made the VH and VC armor plating equipable on Heavy cruisers at the very least. That would've made a lot of ships viable. Even if it change the armor just to medium, it is more than good enough. Just imagine a Heavy armored London.....

I would’ve liked it if all main fleet ships could equip it. I don’t even care about the armor type change that much, have you seen that HP boost? Imagine if Shouhou/Unicorn could equip it.

I rejoin the game and I saw ton of Cruiser blueprint. I was thinking what does my past-me objective by having lot of cruiser blueprint? Now I remember. It was to retrofit Sandy, London, and Exeter..

He's using the proto HE gun.

Cant say about w13 because it not on eu server yet, but i use her everywhere and she got mvp among vanguard ships almost everytime. And her hp and evasion pretty close to Belfast. Tbh she is my favourite ship in the game right now. Hope she get nice skin someday. The only downside is her boring pledge phrase.

Still no review of Black Prince ;_;

I would retro her, but need to save for leipzig. But already retro york, which is a cooler waifu miles away from london 😏

I wedded London immediately once her retrofit was announced. My first ever Heavy Cruiser can't be that cute.
