London Overground Class 315 - Last weeks on the Romford to Upminster Line
I took a ride on a London Overground Class 315 PEP in the last few weeks before they're due to be replaced by Bombardier's Class 710 Aventras on the Romford to Upminster line.

𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀
1. London Overground have operated the Romford to Upminster line since 2015, taking over services from Greater Anglia.
2. There are only 3 stations on the line, Romford, Emerson Park, and Upminster.
3. The line has seen previous attempts to close it down, though these have (evidently) failed and the line has been since electrified.
4. The Class 710 Aventras will be in service from Monday October 5th 2020
5. The 5km line has a speed limit of 30mph, has a total of 2 trains per hour (operated by a single unit throughout the day) and is single-track.

Except Southern who won’t replace the Class 313 which it will still be around for few more years.
I believe I caught a LO Class 317 on this line when I went on it.
PEPs were so much better than all them aventras that replaced them. They sounded epic and just seem to feel more solid! The only places they can be found, are the Shenfield Metro, Merseyrail and the coastway!

Southern will be only one who will keep the Class 313 used on the East Coastway and West Coastway lines.

Because they are approaching 40 years old. Some would have had to be scrapped to provide parts anyway. Might as well bin the lot.
