Thanks for the review. I've had this for years and recently looked it out again to see if I could figure out where I was going wrong but seems its not just me. Will need to find something else to replace it!

Both of these are not for me. They’re too varying from pic to pic. Get the Automat glass. It’s my fav mini camera ever

Perhaps you know by now but the exposure compensation actually locks when the camera is on, so you do not need to keep holding it... awesome vid!

I just got this camera and I have that same issue where all my pictures come out too dark or black where you can’t even really see anything. Any tips on how I can get them better?

You may just have to play with the exposure compensation. I feel like this camera differs from body to body. If you are having consistent major issues, reach out to them to exchange the camera

Been using this camera since it was released. There is a learning curve because the controls are completely manual.

@@CREATIVEreviews You have to take the film speed and aperture into account basically trial and error because shutter speed is unknown. The instax mini 12 is just better tbh, but this camera is a fun challenge and has its own lomo-esqe quirks.

I honestly think the issues with this camera are true flaws. I get the artistic take you could bring up but they do that functionally with their glass lensed version

I kickstarted it and was happy with it, but one the Auto version came out I gave it to a friend. It is/was too simple a camera with no auto exposure ... basically a point and shoot, works well in good light but fails in mixed lighting!!!

I am in love with the automat glass. I’ve been shooting it around the city and at parties. The best quality on instant film I’ve seen in a while

Depends on where you are. A bright place, you’re fine. Anything less and it begins darkening

This camera was once a Kickstarter from Lomography. I had read the manual thoroughly but the results were so disappointing, the usage too complicated, that I gave up after a film pack and a half and never used it again.

Boomer here, the lens doesn't get bigger, the aperture increases allowing more light thru. If I may, I truly have a distaste for the selfie, it is just a way for some people to rub others noses. Look what a great life I am having, and you are not. I went thru great pains in my life never to boast, since I was aware some of those I knew, and loved had it worse than I did. 😢 Both Leica, and Fuji make new instant cameras with very accurate exposure control, the Leica slightly better than the Fuji but they are expensive, one gets what one pays for. For several decades I was a staff photographer for the Miami Herald.
