Yeah biggest difference ever. This is also the key difference betweeen Instax’s poor Evo and the better Leica version

Wow, this is perfect for my use case. I love my 20mm lens on my full frame camera so this lens is right up my alley (21mm FF equivalent)

I am on my second Automat (plastic lens version) every time I wanted to buy the glass, they were out of stock!!! I am sure this will be sharper than the "regular" Automat ... I think they really got the instant film camera thing better than Fuji!!!

Definitely. The one thing they need to work on is the light leaks. It’s an easy fix. Hopefully you can find it in stock soon

​@WhoIsSerafin I mean the Square Glass is probably the best you'll get, and that becomes smallish when you fold the lens after shooting

I wasn't even aware of the glass version, I just got the plastic one for 20 bucks via eBay. I've absolutely fallen in love with Instax this year and I'm very curious how far you can take this film.

How does the plastic lens do in low light? I love the glass one because it’s so sharp and clear at concerts without the flash if the performance is well-lit

No flares. I know that can be an issue with a lot of wide angle lenses without a hood but I’ve been good

debating on getting this or the lomo wide. which seems like a better everyday camera? or would eventually getting both be best? thank you.

I’m not a fan of all the other instant cameras that lomo makes. The big difference with this one is the glass lens. It makes a huge difference. Also the build quality of the wide and the other mini camera allows for light leaks in my uses Go for the automat glass

It’s great for me. You just have to make sure you don’t cover the exposure sensor with your fingers. I hear a lot of people cover these by accident and their photos don’t come out. The viewfinder is pretty small but you get used to it just like with any new device

The Magellan is my favorite instant too - just ordered the lomo square to complement it. My single gripe with the Magellan is the bad quality of the leatherette. Mine is the just peeling, it is disintegrating in spots, exposing a yucky grey residue all over the camera. It really looks and feels nasty. Wish it would just come off entirely, but no…

It's why I hate the use of rubber on camera's or other devices. I have a Canon dslr with the same issue. A friggin Canon ffs. It's a hit or miss when buying rubberized stuff. I really wanted this lomo to be honest. Potential issues are holding me back :(

Btw I never had that issue with any of mine but you’re right. In time, any rubber part of a camera will erode the quickest

Yeah this is one where they chose form over function. I have a different camera with a poor grip but was able to source a 3D printed one that made it much better Maybe someone will make one for this one day

@@CREATIVEreviews i just got the camera today, only shoot 15 frames... it absolutely a brilliant camera... as I stated the grip let say not the best, but ofc it can be solved... need a neck strap... maybe.. the positives help forgetting the inconvenience... I'll just gonna put it on an old flash grip or something
