They landed the same amount of punches in every other category but loma got beat up in the body. 50-9 body punches. Rewatch the fight loma put on a show but if you watch the fight like a judge he got outboxed.

Loma didn’t do enough in the early rounds to win in my opinion. He was not busy enough. The issue is the rounds that Loma did win was towards the end of the fight and was more definitive then the rounds Haney won. But Haney still won those rounds but just not as clearly as Loma won his. It wasn’t enough, Haney was too far ahead. I gave Haney the first 8 rounds.

Loma is a great sportsman and gentleman. His Father is also a stellar example of a humble man who is devoted to his son. The judges robbed him last night. That said, Loma personified dignity in the face of such a horrendous decision. He is a man others should aspire to.

This is exactly why I gave up boxing before making my debut. As an amateur it was disheartening to see things like this consistently happen. It was even worse to see guys like Logan Paul and KSI come out of no where and make crazy debuts when myself and countless others worked hard day in and day out to get to the point where we were seen as debut worthy just to see guys with money completely step over everything and have their day in the ring. In my younger years I was blind to the fact and believed I could reach my goals off of hard work and pure skill but money and popularity does play the largest role in this industry. Anyone who says otherwise is blind to the fact. This fight was a good one and boxing needs to continue to put these guys against each other rather than let them avoid each other until one is damn near 40 years old. Haney did well but Loma won this fight in my opinion. As a fighter I wouldn’t be proud of this win at all if I were Haney. Especially considering the amount of trouble loma gave him. I’m sure deep down he knows and feels this.

At least 115-113 for Loma. Haney really lost. Some of the worst decisions in boxing were: Pacquiao vs Bradley 1, Mayweather vs Castillo 1, Canelo vs GGG 1, Dela Hoya vs Trinidad, Leonard vs Hagler, Chavez vs Whitaker.

I was watching the fight live. I said to myself if Loma can finish the 12th without getting too touched up he wins it. 116-112 is wild. I had it 7-5 Loma. With that said when they said 116-112 I knew it was over for Loma. It hurts the game of boxing but shakur is lickin his chops right now after that performance from Haney.

His best round was round 11.. he landed a lot of stiff shots.. but Haney had a higher percentage.. he landed a lot chopping hooks and totally outlanded to the body.. Loma threw a lot of flurries and was able to land a lot more than the average Haney opponent. I’d say every decision that would’ve been made would’ve been controversial..

Haney had been leading significantly on strikes landed in total and even after those rounds was still up in significant strikes landed. Punch stats don’t win you fights, rounds do. If loma had higher iq he’d know when to press and stay on the gas. He literally could’ve won that fight if he did a few thing’s different. He never adjusted enough. He falls back into the habit of not doing anything in the ring. The man landed 0% of his body punches by the 6th round. You can’t even land a stab jab to the body?

Loma did the same thing against Lopez and lost a close decision. At what point do we stop making excuses for the close fights he loses and just say hey “maybe it’s the fighter with a habit of losing close fights”? Significant strikes were in favor of Haney he had been landing them consistently all fight head and body loma just had two rounds where he was clearly winning those rounds but then he decided to let Haney push the pace in the 12th

Loma is more creative and calculative, Pacquiao on the other hand was eclectic + generate force from his calves, tend to brawl, and powerful. They are both fast though. Pacquiaio was just too good.

Loma won. Haney was being rocked all fight long. At first I thought Haney might win but as the fight progressed Loma is the clear champ and landed much more punches in total and great defense too. Haney was exhausted. For me either Loma won or it was a draw but no way Haney won that.
Disgraceful. Even shakur stevenson said loma should have won. Toprank just robbed loma to set up the shakur haney fight. Boxing is so stupid sometimes like even the toprank president was saying haney and shakur would be a very natural fight after the haney lomachenko fight and he was saying this BEFORE the fight. No one even talked about what would happen if loma won, because they were making sure that corrupt judges would score the fight for devin.

It sucks that we have so many fans in boxing like you, that are emotional watchers and not objective watchers. Emotional watchers are swayed by the crowd reactions.. the commentary.. and hyper focused on the fighter they like.. So they end up missing the fight completely, even after watching it 100 times.. However, I’ll say that it was close.. and a draw wouldn’t have been too ridiculous. Maybe go back and look at the official punch stats.. I don’t think most of y’all rewatching the fight will help.

Boxing is corrupt and shameless. I’m sick of these ridiculous scorecards and the judges not being held to account to justify their scores. The judge who had it 116-112 gave Haney rd 10, I want to know why and what fight he was watching
