Those DiMarzio sound amazing, and the look on gold is owesome!!!
The Lollar pickup sounds great, I like Dimarzio pickups but it's hard to beat a Lollar or a Fralin.
Great demo man ..straight to the point with no b.s.....you earned a new sub!!
cool to see how they sound with flats, most reviews have been with rounds. Nice warm tone.
A great demo! Thanks! I'm keeping my Lollars coz I want the strong mids.
Nice tone for both..!
Both sound incredible, but the Lollar pickups are more my taste. I’d drop a set of those into my P Bass without a doubt.
Awesome playing man. Love both of these pickups, it’s SO hard to choose between these two!! nice subtle, widened bass boost and lifted highs on the Dimarzio and classic mid-presence on the Lollar’s; or at least that’s to my ears! Cheers.

P Bass pickups that are made for that vintage sound basically sound the same. I would maybe flip a coin or pick whatever brand you feel has the cooler vibe
Usually I’m a big fan of Lollar PUs, but the DiMarzio is great!
Sweet sassy Jesus those Dimarzios sound good!
WOW !!!! Dimarzio !!
Yep, those definitely sound tasty.
I don’t know, you make both pickups sound great!👍
That bass OG'd. Those Dimarzios do sound good but I still like the Lollars, what I have in my own Nash PB. Whatever nuanced differences in sound can be dialed in with an amp with good tone shaping controls, e.g. Tone Hammer 700, Mesa Boogie Subway WD-800, TT-800, etc. These things can also be tweaked with different combinations of pot and cap values, e.g. 500K vs 250K and .033uf, .047uf, .1uf.

I also like Lollars over the DiMarzios. Lollars sound more authentic while the DiMarzios sound more Modern and less melodic!
IMO the Lollar picks sound really good! The bass tone you get in your first clip is so thick and warm. Putt the Lollars back in ✊
The lollars are warmer and the Dim's are more clinical like the SD's. Listened to a lot of comparisons and the lollar's still seem to have the better note definition on the E string where more P basses fail. Pays to remember that that definition fail on the E string is the major reason people pick a Jazz bass over a P.

Nonsense, a thinner neck and a more focused sound across all strings are the reasons people choose a jazz over a p.
ローラーの方が好きだけど、ディマジオのトーン絞った音も好き!
lollar smoke those dimarzios man its no competition. lollar definitely one of the great pickups that name will last

for me too, Dimarzio sounds great, no doubt, would be glad to have them. But that woody tone from the Lollars for me is unbeatable.
I prefer the Dimarzio. I just recently got the Relentless over this but I can see this is an amazing pickup as well.

And now I bought a set of these for another bass lol
Going to do some Pink Floyd covers in the studio here soon so I finally added a P bass to my collection (Player Series). I'm considering the DiMarzio pickups for an upgrade but curious to hear what other people think. Should I just keep the stock pickups? Or maybe go with something else completely?
May I ask what strings you have on your Nash P-Bass? Old roundwounds? They sound absolutely amazing, with both pick-ups!

Old Rounds!
Awesome tone either way. Dimarzios sound a bit louder on my computer with Audioengine A5+ speakers.
sick chops, bass and pickups, i'm curious as to how much of the heavy lifting the tone hammer is doing? is that pre eq on the DI?
@ClarkSingleton

I Dont think its pre DI but I have it pretty flat!
Thanks for the excellent demoing, straight forward to the point, De Marzio surprised me, better but still clear👍
I like the Dimarzio better ,it's clearer more punch .
Do you remember what your settings were on the Tone Hammer in this video?

Great demo! Thank you! Of course the louder one sounds better at first. How do you feel about them after using them for some time? Do you like the Dimarzio better?

I think he said old rounds on one of the comments. I think the DiMarzio would also sound amazing with flats in it.

Dimarzios definitely have more punch, clarity & stronger mids & highs. The Lollars are good for the low frequency fundamentals, but that's about it. Not really worth the money compared to Dimarzios & other big brands on the market.
Lollars aren't even as bougie as Fralins, your good there. I wouldn't swap them for production machine wounds, esp. in a Nash. But a beater rosewood fingerboard Fender for those DiMarzios.
I think Di Marzios sound more round, fat and complete...
I find it difficult to describe that sound, but the dimarzio has the throaty woody punch I expect from an early to mid 60s p. A lot of them are far too wooly or midscooped to my taste. Great pickup. IMO the lollars are disappointing.
Not close. The DiMarzios tell you what the bass itself sounds like. The Lollars are muddy and indecisive. I’d put those on Reverb by the end of the day.
