Remember He who remains said in the first season. said every time he dies, he is replaced by another variant of Kang. Kang is like Doctor Strange with the Time Stone, he can see every outcome and pick the outcome, timeline or variant that best serves his need. My theory is before his death he picked his variant Victor Timely and used Ms Minutes to manipulate Renslayer into getting this kinder Victor into the TVA to do something that will help a future Kang. He knew from the start he was Victor was going die and another Kane would take advantage of that technology he built, that we saw working in Ant-Man 3. This was Kang deliberately killing another Kang, and that is why Ms Minutes said to Victor he will never be Kang because she knew like He Who Remains saw the future and knew he was going to die.

Is it me, or did they really want us to focus in Casey heading down those stairs with the device. Even when Loki and Mobius are still arguing about who’s going to wear the suit, the camera angle still seems pretty focused on Casey in the background heading down. Significant for the next few episodes? I think that moment comes back around like Loki pruning himself.

That really annoyed me more than anything. It just tells me that the writers have no idea how emotions work in a human brain, or how computers operate, or how you'd get actual emotion out of a computer system (which is possible, but not the same as humans. Not in the "psychopath" sense, but just a different system of operations. No computer is going to do that, unless you explicitly make it for no other response BUT that. If you just give it an emotional emulator, it's not going to turn out that way. And if you give the system an accurate analog of the origins and operations of human emotions, it's still not going to have the same sort of result simply because a computer just operates fundamentally differently from a human brain. It's just not how AI will ever work, even if it's "conscious".

I love Loki's "we ARE gods" line so much because at any point before this season, if he has said that exact thing or something similar, you could hear and practically see the arrogance behind it. now that you mentioned it, they're doing a good job of showing the spectrum of Kang, seeing his more unforgiving & ruthless side in Quantumania while we also see his more benevolent & caring side in Loki S2. From what we can tell, He Who Remains is the balance of Kang, ruthless by pruning every branched timeline to isolate the universe, but also caring as he tried to ensure there won't be a Multiversal War I could be wrong, but I like how Loki S2 is going, likely going to like S2 more than S1

So I believe that what happened at the end of the episode is that it sent everyone back to their original timelines. So that’s gonna happen in episode 5 I believe

I think Viktor being spaghettified was the plan, his essence is ripped apart and pulled into the timeline, which I think will be why he appears all over the timeline of the multiverse despite Viktor being from the 19th century. If this is all a time loop, I think this is how Kang was made.

Yea like what happened to Clara in doctor who "In order to help the Doctor she allowed the time winds to tear her into countless different iterations of herself, or as River phrased it, 'A million versions of you, living and dying all over time and space, like echoes." The way I understand whats Timely's purpose is... Is that he was meant to be shattered into pieces pulled across timelines, multiple variants across the universe and that's how there was a multiversal war... It's like he's the OG Kang, his existence made the his variants exist and when those variants exist, (like Kang from 31st century), he died and he ordered miss minutes to send a tva guidebook to his new variant, a kid from 19th century and so on. So I guess it is a loop. Ouroboros as they say. Miss minutes told Ravonna that he who remains wants the tva guidebook to be slipped in in his window in 1800s, and said it was bound to happen according to Kang so yea... This ain't doctor who but being a fan of both I did realize that marvel kind of get some ideas like inspiration from the franchise so maybe Clara and Timely's life have some similarities

@@alexa2464 when it comes to multiverse who is the original, and who is not is a moot point. The idea of variants is one based around one timeline and anyone who branches off from that as a variant of someone else. As we see here with the scanner, it doesn't care if someone is or isn't from the sacred timeline, with all the branches emerging it was becoming a relic term. In a multiversal war, it doesn't matter who was the first one, only who is the last one. We know a Viktor is on the sacred timeline, but we don't know he is what we would call prime kang, it could be branch Viktor or ST Viktor. But as they branch apart, who is the original will become a meaningless term, as each one is as valid as the other. It would be like saying this Loki isn't as important as the one in the movies because he comes from a branch, but we see he is very much his own person, despite branching out from the same spot. I wouldn't call one a prime Loki, they're both equally as important. I write multiverse and time travel stories, so I have had a lot of time going over topics like these. The main point being, there is no original in the multiverse, and there is.

@@Riku-zv5dk You know, you just made me think of something. Loki mentioned that Victor’s work was based on OB and OB’s work was based on Victor’s, just like the snake eating its own tail. OB wrote the handbook that inspired Victor, and the only reason that Victor was inspired to create the loom was because Ravonna gave him the notebook through the window. If she hadn't done that, would the book even be written? OB would have nothing to inspire him to write anything. Or would something equally inspiring take that place? Considering the time period he was in, It is unlikely Victor would ever find something like that technology to begin with, thus with no way to create the loom. And where does that leave them? No book? No TVA? It's like they're in an endless loop. One thing fuels the other but stop either of them and neither of them happen. And with that thought in place, it does indeed make sense that it was all part of a plan. That Victor didn't die and he simply scattered, became one or something. He who Remains, the one Sylvie killed, could see the future. Maybe that was his past. All that happened this episode is how He Who Remained was born. After all, that Victor could manipulate time, teleport. Our Victor didn't have that power. Maybe that's how he got them. Without any of that happening, the TVA might simply cease to exist. I'm sorry, I'm ranting now, but all these timelines and multiverse is messing with my head. It's too complicated.

He saw that the infinity stones had no power in the TVA, designated the TVA as having true power, then He saw his own death by the hand of thanos, heard his neck snap by hand with infinity stones in it. Then said “glorious purpose” in a completely different context from the way he used to say it. Met his female variant, who is as disruptive as he once was, and finally sees a mirror image of himself in her, so much so that he can see how his mischief can harm the people he loves. Then like any narcissist would, he falls in love with her (himself), but then so sees that she’s his former self and hasn’t grown. So he gradually grows. Wanting him to return to that old Loki is like trying to keep him a cartoon where the characters don’t change, not even their clothes.

Rovonna Renslayer is a kang variant in the comics. Which is why kang didnt do partners and why he loved her. She was him. So when she got pruned, she could've taken control of galiath the dragon and pruned all the male Kangs. though theres always the chance we're seeing the birth and transformation of the MCU into the Heros Reborn universe which ties into the fantastic four movie and reboots the universe. Giving us new recasts for each character. This would then give us a prime Kang, his wife mantis, and a it would be controlled by Reed Richards instead of Kang. Which would set up a plot of the ruined kang universes sending all their kangs to the council of kangs and going to war with the new universe and the new prime kang.

This show can't miss. Holy fuck this episode was amazing. Best episode yet. Some seep discussion on top of a little bit of character development sprinkled in, shocking and unexpected moments, and extremely high tension. And just all around good writing. And we've two more episodes to go, too. This felt like a finale and we're not even done. Loki season 1 already solidified the show as my favorite among the Disney+ shows, but this season might make it my favorite MCU show period. Above both Daredevil and Punisher. Edit: Memories are simply experiences of the past; of time. All that would need to be done is for those events, those moments to be erased, while making sure to keep the people alive. Edit 2: I find Greg's complaint regarding Loki's characterization is odd. Yes, we all watched tbe because we loved Loki. But did we love the show because we loved Loki? Or did we love it because it's a really good show? Honestly, as much as I love Loki as a character, I can't deny that ever since the first season I've been more interested and invested in the TVA than Loki. Because Loki already had his ending in Endgame. This variant was just a way of introducing this new part of the MCU, and he should never have existed. I'm glad he does. But if he's changed and his personality is nothing like what it was before; even if I end up hating Loki as a character; I will STILL love the show, because I love the TVA, and all the different things the writers explore with it.

What if Kang wanted Victor to be spaghettified so that he can spread his various variants throughout the different timelines? Every Victor can now be Kangs in their own unique ways, leading up to Phase 4 of MCU and to that bad Ant-Man Movie where they introduced the council of Kangs.

I think he’s just dead and we start with a past Loki that didn’t have a character arc last season. The guy that Sylvie used magic on will use Renslayer’s device to go back in time to get Loki.

I absolutely adore this show I don’t find any episode boring and I just love the bromance between O.B, Casey, and Victor Timely and I just felt sad for that hunter with the hot Cocoa and Victor seems like a nice guy with Social problems/ anxiety, and the people being crushed is terrifying especially since they were all feeling each other squish each other which is horrible since they all technically died by each other and suffered. I rate this Ep 10/10

Victor Timely got turned into spagetti like all the variants of Scott Lang(s) in Quantumania leading to dust.

Something y'all seem to be forgetting is that the Loki that was pruned was the one that got pulling out of the loom by Mobius a few episodes earlier. So that Loki isn't a loose end. Also, OB gets trained by a Victor Lively. Maybe Victor isn't dead, but sent back in time and meets an early OB. That would tie up that thread as well. The loose ends at this point are Renslayer and the other TVA guy who got pruned - they would end up in the void. Or maybe they get lost in time given the situation with the loom.

A possibility could be if the magic dampener deactivated, they can use the time stone to reverse the events? They would not merely be paper weights anymore.

The notion of the voyeuristic scenes is interesting in the context of this season, i.e the idea of an Ouroborous that we've seen used already, because in the credits there is a frame where there are shots from scenes of the episode as photos in a file, just like HWR had a script of what was going to happen in S1. So you guys could be bang on in that this is all part of old HWR contingency plan

This was one of, if not the best episode of the series! Gotta give Dox and her men some small respect, given how they saw through Rennslayer's desires. Also, RIP Victor Timely. A great person, really thought he was gonna succeed.😢

Kang wants this new Loki variant and Sylvie variant to manage the new TVA by the end of season 2. Time line imploding says a reboot is coming which is Kang's goal. Definitely a new Kang variant is coming in the next episode.

I absolutely loved this episode! Everything about it felt incredible. Every scene and moment was just so fantastic! I thought that the writing was incredible, the acting was incredible, and the tone was perfect. All throughout this episode I was really tense and curious about what was going to happen next and it just had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire episode. This show’s story has me fully invested and interested to learn more about this shows plot as it unfolds. And I was amazed at just how incredible the music for this episode was, I’m so glad that they brought Natalie Holt back to do this show’s score. And each actor was giving a fantastic performance and I felt like they were all doing an amazing job for these characters. They all felt like they were fully dedicate and invested to their character and their role. I loved getting to see Victor Timely meet O.B., it was such a fun and heartwarming scene and it was made even better when they signed each others TVA Guidebooks. Also the dynamic of which one of them got the information from who was an ouroboros in itself which I thought was really clever. I also really loved the discussion scene between Loki and Sylvie. I just thought that what they were talking about was a very interesting topic for them to bring up and as a whole I thought that the writing for this scene in particular was amazing. Also I can’t exactly explain why but I loved that Victor Timely wanted Hot Cocoa. I just found it to be really funny and that scene to be really cute. Also I’ve got to talk about the scene where Ravonna kills Dox and her Minute Men, specifically Miss Minutes’ reaction to the moment. If episode three didn’t already show what an antagonistic and villainous character she would be, this episode practically confirmed it with the way she was giddy with excitement over Ravonna brutally crushing people to death. And then we finally get the reveal that the person that pruned Loki in episode one was actually Loki. I think we all pretty much saw this coming, but I don’t think it made the moment any less impactful and fulfilling. Also the visual effects for the Loom were incredible! With its vibrant and varying colors, the detail of each individual temporal strand moving and twisting in its own direction and the way it cast light on everything looked so beautiful. And did Victor Timely just die?! There’s no way they built him up though out this season only to kill him off so soon into his introduction. They’ve got to be setting up for him to return in some way later in the season. And after hearing him repeat the phrase “time to be brave” it made it even sadder that he possibly met his fate here. Also the way he “died” looked the same as how Scott’s possible versions unraveled in the Probability Storm in Quantumania. And Loki’s reaction to the destruction of the Loom was absolutely incredible. Tom Hiddleston’s performance was fantastic and beautiful, it gave off such a devastated and horrified look and feel to it that it made the moment feel even more real and dramatic. I’m so curious to see what will happen to Loki, Mobius, Sylvie, O.B., Casey, B-15, Victor Timely, Brad, Ravonna and Miss Minutes after how this episode ended. I can’t wait to see where the end of this episode will lead into next week’s episode. I am very curious to see how this episodes events will lead into next week’s episode and how it will impact the future of this show and its continuing story. I can’t believe there are only two episodes left, I am really loving everything about this new season so far and I can’t wait to see where this story and all the characters involved will go next. I cannot wait for next week’s episode.
