Remember that when Mobius and Loki show up at the Chicago World's Fair it is not on the Sacred Timeline, but a Branch created by Renslayer/Miss Minutes giving young Victor Timely access to advanced TVA technological knowledge.

Renslayer doesn't have a "mega-pruner." What she has is the first prototype pruner, built with 19th-century technology.

Excellent episode. I really was impressed by Sylvie's dilemma. The one thing she had to do, to be true to herself was the one thing she could NOT do and be true to herself. The use of the piano music during the chase scenes gave me a real feel for the Keystone cops, and Majors' acting as Timely seems to draw on Charlie Chaplin at times.

@Fandom Zone, 38:23 If Rovonna was a variant of HWR they wouldn't need Victor. She should have been able to read the TVA handbook and figure out how to fix the loom, as the knowledge to do so would have already been in her head like it was for Victor. The way I see it, Ravonna and Miss Minutes went to 1865 on the Sacred Timeline because Victor is the one who started it all the first time, but at a much older age. Perhaps his future self did something like Biff Tannen in Back to the Future 2--traveled to the past to give a younger version of himself a completed time machine since he was already dying and unable to do the things he wanted to do. What's happened here isn't all that different is it? HWR is dead and he's sent his own agents to his past to fast track the career of his younger self. And as Julia pointed out, that act caused a Nexus Event, creating a branched timeline. If the TVA wasn't dealing with a meltdown, the minute men would have promptly been on the scene to correct this situation. "What came first? The chicken or the egg?" Well, IMHO, Victor, as he's part of the Sacred Timeline and the reason why HWR was so confident that he would return. If you're already part of time, and your death causes time to repeat, well, your return is assured and there's nothing anyone can do to stop that. Time is looped, and we saw/heard that in the season finale of the first season of Loki with the voiceover from the MCU, the Big Bang, and more voiceover from actual people in real life. The MCU from Endgame up to now has been a loop, and it started with time travel to past and return to the present. Variants are a loop too. Again, as Julia pointed out, time isn't leaner. Time is looped, but I don't think it is leaner because it's looped but because time is more like branches on a tree or blades of grass which grow at different rates and are of different lengths. The infinite universes that are the Multiverse in the Sacred Timeline are no different, and we've seen that in the MCU as well as Sony's Spider-Man movies. The last season of Loki introduced us to Kid Loki and Classic Loki among many other Lokis, but those two are enough to prove this point. The TVA were pursing Loki variants and were purging a lot of them that had caused Nexus Events. For the TVA, many of these variants were pruned around the same time, since time stands still for them since they exist outside the natural flow of time, yet all Kid Loki is still a kid and Classic Loki is an old man. Their universes are much farther behind and much farther ahead that Universe 616 Loki's story. Now Way Home reintroduced us to Toby McGuire's Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man, and both were plucked from their universes roughly around the same time, and yet they are at different points of their stories too and are different ages, like the Loki Variants we've met. The more you look at the various variants we've met, the more you see how far ahead or behind they are in their stories. Look at all the Spider-Man Variants that Miles Morales has interacted with. Peter B. Parker has been Spider-Man for 25 years. The Peter Parker from Miles' world had been Spider-Man for 10 years. IIRC, Gwen said she had been Spider-Woman for a little over a year. In the most recent movie, Pavitr Prabhakar tells us that he's been Spider-Man for the past 6 months. Universes in the Multiverse are not in synch with one another, but they are living out the same stories, as each variant keeps showing us--Sylvie had her Battle for New York moment during the season finale of Loki season one, and now she's on her redemption arc. U616 Loki isn't the same character we knew, he's so much more now; he's grown into someone his parents would be very proud of. Anyway, back to Victor! Victor likely inadvertently created the Multiverse when he went back in time to give himself the means to travel through time and continue his work. He likely didn't realize what he did until much later when he and his other variants met and formed the Council of Kangs. Even though their temporal auras say they are all the exact same person, all of them would have been at different stages of their story and of different mindsets. Victor didn't trust anyone when we first met him, but we saw him growing to trust Loki, Mobius and OB. Did the Council of Kangs fall apart because a good number of them felt they couldn't trust the others? Victor, being the first, would have figured out first, probably, that the only way to stop the destruction they were causing everyone across time was to remove all of his selves from it and to work outside of it. I cannot wait to see your reaction to the next story! It's a trip! The next two episodes are sure to be a lot of fun, I can't wait for them either.

You can't help but notice that once Mobius tells Renslayer what is going on with the Temporal Loom, that she wants to get Timely to help repair it. She just wants to be the "hero" herself, rather than working with Mobius and/or Loki.

We have to first improve humanity and restore empathy among our species, then we can think of developing our tech. Because no matter how much we advance our civilisation or technology, if we can't fix the lack of empathy towards each other, history will repeat and a growing advancing civilisation will be brought back to its knees and we will begin from zero again.

The fact you guys are nodding your heads seemingly agreeing with renslayer I find a little bit odd. She’s obsessed with being betrayed, she betrayed mobius first, that’s a fact. If she just chilled tf out they could work together, glad she got pruned, hopefully alioth finished her off
