Loki's Shenanigans - Norse Mythology Explained

Комедия

Hey, if you wanna learn about the time Loki got in trouble for stealing Sif's hair and ended up helping create Thor's hammer, or the time he had to seduce a horse and ended up birthing Sleipnir, then you probably should've watched the actual video before reading this description because I kinda just explained it all.

Now that you mention it, a two handed war hammer does make sense. I mean the head of Mjolnir does seem pretty massive. Well stormbreaker fixed that issue. Also the iron gauntlets, belt and staff Gríðarvölr compensate for that loss. Just slap flex tape onto both Gríðarvölr and mjolnir and you get a two handed warhammer.

@@noviibutnotactive8385 Do you know anything about Norse mythology bro? Freya was Odin's favorite concubine who grew to become his primary wife after Fryga fell out of favor when she cheated on Odin with his brothers. The issue is Freya couldn't keep her legs shut, she slept with dwarves, the Aesir, the Vanir, (her brother and father) and all manner of creatures. Loki hated her for this and tried to break Odin's infatuation with her because she was humiliating him and destroying his manhood, a big deal in Norse culture, this is why Loki constantly tried to sell her off to Frost Giants and ultimately why he killed Baldur (who could've been anyone's kid really) Loki's schemes to get rid of Freya were what drove a wedge between him and Asgard, a grudge that ultimately led to Ragnarok.

Also, Odin wasn't one to sit back and not delight in war. Let's also not forget that anyone that talks about how Slepinir entered the world is destined to become Loki's new punching bag for a good long while, essentially BEGGING him to make their life utter misery and suffering. Like, he HATES what happened to him THAT much. And seeing as that horse used him like a hole in the wall, I can't say that I blame him, and I feel pretty bad for him. And no one was crazy enough to talk about it. Not Baldr, not Heimdall, not Odin, not Freyr or Freyja, not Bragi, not Frigg; nobody. Because they knew just what Loki could do if they actually got him mad. Like his pranks were bad enough, but having that constantly with actual malicious intent for a huge portion of your life is a legitimate threat.

This was awesome, but my only thing that would've made it better was if you made the scores a little more even or favoring Loki before Mjolnir. Like Odin likes the rings, but thinks Gungnir was better and the ring gets a slightly lower score than Gungnir, then for Frey have the boar and Ship be liked the same so they get around the same score, making Loki over confident especially when he thinks the last gift is ruined, it would make the glass shattering sound and his lose alot more impactful and entertaining. I don't know if that was just part of the mythology, the spear Gungnir seems to be referenced more than the rings from what I've seen, or it was just to show how dumb loki was with this idea. Just a minor thing, still great stuff.

Loki unlike Zeus isn't the rapey type. And funny enough it's mortal men he mothers children with.

Wasn't the reason Loki "ruined the situation for himself" the fact that dwarfs didn't want to just do stuff for him for free. He kinda tricked them into making gifts for gods by saying "I bet those other lads over there are gona totally impress everyone with their great works and be named the best craftsmen in all the realms. Such a bummer they don't have any competition... yet". It's just that Brokk and Eitri figured out that some shenanigans is happening and so forced Loki to bet his head that the other team can best them. At least that's the version I remember reading.

That fine print doesn’t say he has to have the whole head. Just draw a line above the neckline or just go from the mouth up. Like that episode of South Park where Britney Spears lost the top part of her head.
