It was a fandom rumor, no one from the writing team or the cast ever said anything like that. I doubt very much the writers will give Loki a male love interest, more than anything because he's a very popular character and Disney would miss on a lot of $$$ if the series got banned in certain countries. I also think it doesn't make sense, Loki is currently heartbroken and has so much to deal with, so I doubt very much he has time to fall in love with someone all ever again...But who knows!

i personally think that there’s a difference between being variants and being the same person. for example, julie andrews and emily blunt aren’t the same person, right? but they do play the same character in different movies, although it doesn’t make them the same person. that’s how i think it is with variants. they’re playing the same role in different universes but they are still completely different people. i think it’s kind of the same thing with thor and jane because jane wasn’t always a thor but now that she is, it’s only a role and doesn’t mean they’re the same person

I did say that she is a Loki, and yes she falls under the category of a Loki Variant but I meant no disrespect. I was simply pointing out the similarities with Thor cos again Jane was technically considered a Thor too but that doesn’t mean she is him, I agree. Similarly Sylvie is her own person but is still a Loki Variant. Not that I’m stating that they aren’t their own individuals, but one can’t ignore the category they fall under. It’s just harmless fun, nothing to be so pressed about… Edit : I am all for this ship same as with Thor and Jane, so you have definitely misread my intentions here. I mean two people can act like that (arguing, etc) and have a romantic relationship, there's nothing typically brotherly about it. and then episode three is also the episode where Loki, drunk, sings a serenade to Sylvie, so... their relationship involves a lot of teasing and humor it's true, but I don't see how that would say it has a "sibling energy" moreover their behavior is often close to flirting throughout episode three

I have siblings. And as I said before, none of the things Sylvie and Loki did in this episode belong exclusively to siblings. People must have boring romantic relationships if they think teasing someone and laughing with them belong only to siblings relationships ! Like what, they never joke with the person they love ? Sad. My dad always told me that lovers must be best friends too for their relationship to work out, and I think that's the case for Loki and Sylvie. And maybe it's just me but they were clearly flirting in this episode for me

the writers try to say they didn’t have time because of the high stakes of the multiverse, but i just don’t get that because they had time to make a one episode romance between victor and ravonna and do that weird thing with miss minutes, both of which ultimately had no point and did not develop the story. but they don’t have time for the main two characters?? i just wish the writers had been a little more organized
