But Yo for real man that over the top attack on heavy spoilers was f**** the cringiest thing I've seen in a very long time, for one if you guys have a beef fine whatever it happens but that just seemed unnecessarily intense. I'm not some heavy spoilers super fan but I have watched pretty much all of these breakdown videos and I watch all of these channels and have for a very long time and Paul from heavy spoilers seems to have actual integrity and genuinely portrays himself for who he is and you know what I would say the same thing about you but that just rubbed me the wrong way that was overdone and unnecessary "FULL OF SHIT!!" like really I mean there wasn't a better more clever way to say your peace there's things that I've disagreed with on all of these channels and from all the scoopers or whatever they want to call themselves but I've definitely had quite a few things I did not like from screen crush maybe not you specifically I don't know but but that s*** was as unprofessional and honestly pathetic as anything I've seen on the internet subtlety and humor goes a long way when trying to make a point like that I wouldn't mind hearing what upset you so much that's up to you maybe I'm wrong about standing up for the channel and the situation.

Loki is like scar face hes always telling the truth even when he lies. Think about that when telling people his plans.

Correct me if I’m wrong. Isn’t the fact that there are “variants” proof that free will exists in this show? If everything was predetermined, the person who becomes the “variant” shouldn’t have the freedom to deviate and become a danger to the timeline.

We are being told that Time Keepers try to hold the Sacred Timeline and Variants are deviating and screwing with it. Taking only this suggests that them scrambling the timeline is really something unpredictable. But unpredictable to Time Keepers. There still can be something beyond Time Keepers as they seem to struggle a bit with keeping the timeline "as intended". What if there is a greater being, some Time Keeper Supreme, who made The Real Timeline with all those Variants just following it? We can speculate or have theories. Any can be true. But to say definitely... no, we don't have sufficient information, so it's not a proof ;)

Free will definitely exists, but if someone's free will becomes threat to the sacred timeline(or timekeepers), they eliminate it. Steve Rogers deciding to going back in time to return infinity stones was his(or Avengers') free will, but it was necessary to keep the flow of sacred timeline, hence timekeepers allowed it, however "variants" are people whose choices can cause chaos and create multiple timelines, defeating the purpose of timekeepers and sacred timeline. In a nutshell, timekeepers want a timeline on which they have absolute control, to secure their own existence as they don't know what will happen to them in another major timeline, this was mentioned by Ryan himself in one of his previous videos.

Multiverse has to be the natural order of things. That's why there was one before the Time Keepers interfered, it evolved naturally. The "variants" constantly making different choices and creating different timelines must be how the universe is supposed to work in it's natural state. Time Keepers with their pruning are holding the universe in a non-natural shape.

You seem to be onto something. I like that the show is dipping it's feet in those free will and "where do we come from" issues. I don't expect any serious answers, but it's fun to watch. Never cared much for philosophy, unless it's delivered in entertaining media, like Loki, or the Simpsons.

@@Zoronden Either they all merged into one super hurricane or there were 8 in a row. Sometimes you get 2 or 3 in a row hitting the same place a few days apart.

I just keep on getting Wizard of Oz vibes from the three Time Keepers. I mean, their presence in the TVA as statues is made to look ominous and intimidating, but I keep on thinking of the guy behind the curtain that was the real Wizard of Oz. A charade. A convenient story to justify the control over the time line. Something almost religious. What Mobius said in the conversation with Loki in the cafeteria also sounded quite religious. Almost cult-like. And Loki was questioning everything because as an outsider he just doesn't see the point in dedicating one's life to an entity like the TVA. I can't wait to see where this story is heading!

It wouldn't surprise me if Mobius's entire worldview is crushed by, like, episode 3. I don't want it to be, tbh, because his sincerity is kind of refreshing, but what I think will happen is something in the middle, like it'll be one dude (just Kang) a la the Wizard, and Renslayer will be in on the whole thing. Loki will have inadvertently taught him that, like he said in this episode, not everyone good is fully good. I just hope Mobius won't become completely cynical.

Theory for episode 3. Loki duplicated himself, when he dried his clothes. one Loki went with Lady Loki, the original Loki stayed with Mobius and the TVA.

@AV8R no, Loki explained that the 2 abilities/powers are different. Why did they have to emphasize that difference? It doesn't move the plot forward, unless it's a clue.. but it's just a theory, we'll see next week

Not sure if it was said already said explicity, but Mobius and most of the staff is not real people but they have been "created" by the Time Guardians. TVA is their home, and this is why Mobius shows some interest in Jet Ski and all the 90's gimmicks, he wish a little bit of freedom out of the TVA to do the fuck he wants, actually showing he has free will even if he isn't a "real person" At least, this is what I thought.

Ryan describes Loki speaking Latin to "Ancient Greeks" rather than Romans and then shows Loki speaking English to Mongolians as examples of his ability to communicate in all languages. LOL.

Man between the Marvel shows and Star wars, this year has been so amazing. Loki is my favorite character in the mcu and this show is giving me hope that maybe he'll be around a little longer than we might think. Marvel has been killing it lately!

Minr nitpick: 14:00 It's not Greece, it's Italy (Pompeii), and the language Loki speaks is Latin.

I love the constant use of the word he when describing the variant Loki they’re looking for, foreshadowing the twist (which we all knew) of it being Lady Loki

Right after watching the episode I looked for the Screencrush video, i saw a lot of others but didn't see this one yet, and so I waited until now, worth the wait, Channel always has the best content, keep up the good work!

4:44 looks like Loki’s Jotun form, so that might be a version of him that didn’t get adopted by Odin, though who knows how he managed to go a whole lifetime before the TVA arrested him as a variant.

Sooo...there being different versions of Loki raises an interesting question; if all the Loki variants came from the same, sacred, timeline, wouldn't they all look like our Loki? Does this mean that these variants came from other timelines? Or how did different Lokis exist in the same timeline which they all could have deferred from? The same Loki creating nexus events on different occasions would make sense, but this doesn't(?)...

I agree... to an extent. Remember that one of Loki's powers is shapeshifting. Heck, baby Loki in the films was blue-skinned and yet modern Loki is somehow caucasian. The explanation that makes the most sense to me is that he has been using his shapeshifting ability to look like this caucasian Loki all along in order to fit in with his Asgardian family, and by now his body identity is entirely whatever he wants it to be or sees himself as at the time. All the other "looks" of his variant selves would simply be forms he adopted to fit his whims or purposes.

Love your breakdowns and look forward to each eater egg video accompanying each ep of the marvel shows. Your blend of concise summary, easter eggs, philosophy & theories makes it very entertaining ( and much less annoying than other channels) that keeps me coming back for more! 18:50 The item is a "Time Turner" the same as the one Loki was using in ep 1. I'm pretty sure the "Time Turner" connects the little pads the Hunters use when they are monitoring the nexus events nearing redline. You can even see the pad portion near the bottom of the screen.

The thing you speculate to be a sling-ring is a component of their little tablet devices, the ones they use to control portals and such. It fits on the left side, might be to mount them on the wrist guard.

The kid pointed at the devil so Mobius just assumed it was another Loki variant because they have had many Loki variant problems as they showed in this episode. She wears loki's horns but we don't know if she's actually a loki yet. Could have taken it from the president Loki? His horns are small like hers.

Those branching timelines at the end leading to a multiverse. These series (Wandavision, etc, are a great way to give us more information and lead into the next set of movies. Amazing to me how the team of writers, and Kevin Feige keep it all together.

Maybe someone can help explain, but if in the sacred timeline Loki is this male brunette, and tva has to reset timelines within a short amount of time in it's creation, how would a variant of Loki who is born a different sex, or born a troll, live long enough to become adult without that timeline crossing redline?

In the comics Loki gained a female form when his spirit possessed a body intended for Sif (all the Asgardians were disembodied spirits at the time, awaiting resurrection following Ragnarok). As for the "troll" body - could be the same thing, possessing someone else, or it could be a timeline where Loki underwent the same process that in the MCU created the Abomination - that would conceivably leave Loki with a body similar to the one we saw.

It's possible that a female Loki wouldn't disrupt the course of events significantly. Totally different as a child but not having any detrimental result on the timeline until a certain point. Once the nexus event detector goes off, then the TVA shows up to prevent that event. Child female Loki was pruned right before she did something extreme that would deviate the timeline.

That explains why it's chock full of stupid mistakes like saying Pompeii was in Greece or that the octagonal skylight in the library in Wandavision was a hexagon.

I think those variant time lines are the settings of the "What If?" series. Just my thoughts.

Seems we're already leading to the Multiverse of Madness. We were told by Miss Minutes in the previous episode that Nexus events left unchecked branch off into "madness" leading to another Multiversal war. We just had a massive Nexus event and the use of the word madness was no accident.

This could also lead into quantumania since Chang is scheduled to show up and him being a time traveler. With the TVA around they could prevent him from traveling and facing the avengers, but with the TVA gone that now becomes possible.

The one thing I wasn't crazy about is the "even though Loki didn't betray them, the Minuteman who hates Loki says he did" part...a bit paint-by-numbers, but it did result in him running to save his own life (as he would have been reset), so I guess we'll get something good out of it. It was a bit too predictable though.

Or when he thought a category 8 hurricane meant there were 8 hurricanes instead of what it would actually be, an insanely destructive hurricane? Ryan's not as clever as you think he is. He rushes these videos and forgets to check if he's accurate.

@@rickhillegas2414 i like screencrush but it gets annoying how dude will stretch so hard on some of his “easter eggs” and yet completely miss other more obvious references. Sometimes it’s cuz he has a theory and he retrofits what he sees to align with that theory, but I agree most times it’s probably just because he rushes to get these vids out at the expense of more solid research. Due to how KZread engagement metrics works, the “content machine” pretty much rewards mistakes once they have a big enough audience
