@@luigigaminglp Slight correction the Admrials don't fight Kaido they aren't allowed to, no Marine hell not even Cipher Pol 0 is allowed to engage a Yonko because the ensuing conflict would turn into a war, it's why the Yonko are so untouchable the new world is their territory with practically no world government presence because they are just that powerful/influential, as a result there is an unspoken agreement to leave them alone, the only exception to this is SWORD and that's only because they are no longer officially marines and are an off the books task force specifically for dealing with the Yonko, and even then direct confrontation is not advised.

Smoker: "Wait a minute, if he's a crackhead, then what does that make you?" Dragon: "His dealer." Smoker: "And...your father?" Dragon: "The producer."

I still think my favorite joke from this arc that'll get me every time, is when a kid accidentally bumps into Smoker and her ice cream cone makes a mess of his pants, and he stares at her and just gives her money. Just the words "im sorry my pants ate your ice cream" Gets me every time and it made me really like Smoker, he wasnt a corrupt marine like Morgan but you knew he had to try to catch luffy because its his job Also the scene with Zoro mopping the floor and the 2 Marines calling him a fiend for doing it. The arc had some great jokes in it

From what we saw of Marines so far, Morgan and the one working with Arlong and how Smoker was introduced at first, and how the father and little girl reacted when she pumped into him, I think it's fair to say that the father and daughter and all viewers had an 'oh shit they dead' moment, especially with the intense look he gave her, but then YAY surprise he crouches and is sooooo nice to her, he APOLOGIZED to her and gave her money to buy more, he was so nice, I think tahy the moment he gained the respect and love of a lot of fans me included

When the crack head's dad can control the weather and one shot a future yonko. You know his son is the real deal

At the end of the day the drums of liberation are a part of Luffy. Big Mom and Kaido got overpowered by Luffy.

Logtown from Dragon's perspective would be hilarious too. Think about it. Dragon has his crackhead years behind him, he did some rehab with Iva, he left his kid at his father's place for some time... Then he gets back with the milk, after all this years, thinking how he's going to explain a tattoo on his face and all that, and what he realizes is that his kid became a crackhead too. He didn't gave him a chance of better life when he left him with his crazy father, he just brought up more material to work with for his crazy father. And not only that, but this crackhead now has a band of lunatics with him too

I can physically feel the short circuit in Smoker's brain the second he sees Monkey D. Dragon. Also I find it kind of hilarious that public knowledge of Luffy is like: Nobody Suddenly strongest rookie on East Blue Also grandson of Garp Also also son of Dragon Somehow also brother of Ace from Whitebeard pirates One of worst generation Somehow he has second brother and it's Sabo from the revolutionary army He became Yonko in less then 3 years. The soup would be better if they removed the clothes, scrubed them with salt and vinegar to clean, and gave the crew enemas with vinegar salt water. Then do the first boil to disinfect. While the second pot is boiling give another enema with garlic butter and lay the lion in milk to help with the gamey contrast. Season everyone and let everyone marinate until the water boils. Add your herbs, spices, vegetables then put everyone in. Lower the heat and slow cook for a few hours. Make sure to skim the surface.

Nah, I like how Smoker was the first true Marine to go “We gotta stop him, he will be too powerful” and saw the following things happen whilst near them; Lightning saving Luffy from death, A stranger (aka dad) save Luffy, Got slowed down by Ace and then later rescued from the water by Zoro on Luffy’s order, Remet Luffy during the Marinefold Battle of the Greats only to be stopped by Boa, Got info dumped that Luffy is related to Garp and Dragon making him realise Dragon saved him, Remet him once again in Punk Hazard only to be forced into an alliance with him and finally, to top it all off, Luffy and his crew had to pass care of children over to him making Luffy and Smoker legal guardians that share children xD

Its interesting to see how the 2 kids on Rogers ship grew up. One became a respected pirate with a crew of really strong members. The other became comedic pirate that keeps getting eff'ed over left and right😂

The crackhead is ironically the most powerful person in all of the stories

Another hilarious perspective to think of is Saint Charloss during Sabaody. You’ve just been doing your thing, being the untouchable son of a Celestial that you are, getting new slaves. Then, out of nowhere, this green nobody not only walks in your path, he doesn’t even bow… and he asks you if you are lost. The sheer *nerve!* then, when you get to the auction house, you shoot yourself a Fishman to have for free, when this whelp in a blue vest comes up, dodges your bullets with the coldest glare you’ve ever seen in your spoiled life… and then punches you SO hard you swear the color left the very world around you.

I have a couple suggestions: 1. On the next instalment of the Big News Morgans and Jimmy Scoops Chronicles, you should recall that when Cipher Pol infiltrates the World Economic Press, the agent was disguised as none other than Jimmy, you could perhaps start a little arc about what you think could have happened to the Real Jimmy Scoops. 2. "The World of One Piece is Hilarious", from the perspective of a brand new pirate crew, perhaps one that hasn't been keeping up with the news. I imagine the crew (perhaps written from the perspective of the audience) would first arrive at the Baratie, noticing that the chefs are bragging about their prized chef being the head cook of the future Pirate King, and then arriving at Reverse Mountain and seeing none other than a giant Straw Hat jolly roger painted on a massive whale.

I like the idea of following it from Bartolomeo's pov, since canonically speaking Barolomeo would have actually taken a very similar path to Luffy to the grand line, and probably was estatic each time that he saw evidence of Luffy being there before him.

@@tannermattingly4462 oh yeah that's even better. What I had in mind was less an excited crew and more a shocked crew, frustrated that no matter where they go and try to make progress, OOPS the straw hats were just there.

Dragon's full name wasn't made public until Marineford, so there would not have been a reason for anyone to suspect that he was related to Luffy until then.

It's interesting. Taking a retrospective of the arcs, along with your perspective, makes the idea that Luffy's fruit essentially being a loony toon fruit the entire time make more sense. The signs were always there. Oda knew what he was doing lmao Also, "shut up dummy" is my favorite line in all of these 😂

"Luffy has been saved by god" Wow, Enel really goofed up with that one.

Another POV of Loguetown would be the barkeep who served Gol D Roger. Toshigi would be good, she's just enjoying a day off finds a swordsman who looks like he used to be on the police force before being kicked off and starts to flirt with him only to find out he tests swords by seeing if they will cut his own arm off, constantly muttering someone called Down D Stairs. Then as a last straw figures out he has become a pirate under a crackhead. As always hilarious episode

Let's also not forget that Smoker has probably the largest set of tungsten plated chrome cajones in the series. Fully willing to pick a fight with Whitebeard when he tried to arrest Ace in Alabasta, authorization be damned. Put some respecc on my man's name!

I was just watching Anime Wins East Blue comp yesterday the that same thing popped into my head.

They actually hadn't released Dragon's name until Marineford. That's why Smoker never made the connection until then. Garp of course knew, I imagine the Marines kept it under wraps in order to maintain the reputation of the "Hero of the Marines".

You as Alvida happen to be going to Logue Town and happen to be after the crackhead. The real reason you want to find this crackhead is basically because he pointed out to you: "Hey, um. I'm really concerned about you. If you put on much more weight you won't be able to be a pirate, and while I don't like you, I would appreciate more competition on the Grand Line." Then he beat you up, which to be fair, you did have it coming, Alvida's kind of a terrible person anyway, but you're out for revenge on the straw hat kid. Now you're sailing to Logue Town with the intention of killing the crackhead, and you see this filthy, hungover goblin, just a head, arms, and feet, in clown makeup and pirate garb on a ramshackle raft about to get merced by a crab. He's screaming like a girl and the sight is honestly just too funny, you as Alvida can't help but let Buggy sit in fear for a second and watch him, then you go reluctantly rescue this incredibly scuffed pirate. Now you ate the Slip-Slip Fruit, so Buggy thinks you're like, the best piracy partner there could be for him, as not only are you clearly strong, but your Devil Fruit power has the potential to be hysterical if you screw up at all. So this disgusting head, hands, and feet of a pirate start begging you to take it with you to Logue Town. "Okay, I know this sounds ridiculous but I was separated from my body after being pieced up by some crazy kid in a straw hat." That makes you pause because that sounds exactly like what happened to you, so, you tell him that you were also pieced up by some crazy kid in a straw hat. Buggy says to you "Listen, I got a crew that can help us find and execute that crackhead. If you wanted to form a flashy pirate alliance and take me to Logue Town, we can join forces and kill 'im in the funniest way imaginable. I'll be a partial crewmate here on the ship, too, so what do you say?" So you think, "honestly, how much harm could this half a pirate do on my ship? At worst he's lying and we can just kill him, and after all it may be nice to have a laugh at this crackhead's expense like he did at ours." So you form this alliance with Buggy and take him with you and you're surprised to find that, aside from his voice which he projects VERY far as a performer, he's actually a really good and considerate crewmate. You did have to contractually obligate Buggy to take a bath, and he may give you some guff, but shockingly he stays in line, helps as much as he can on the ship, and you can tell he'd be a pretty good combatant if he had the rest of his body, so you take Buggy to Logue Town to look for that and his crew. You arrive at Logue Town, and I assume that the whole time that Cabaji and Mohji are fighting, and Buggy is watching them, you are too. You're obligated by your alliance to help Buggy reunite with his crew and his body, so you watch as this gremlin's torso is mourned by his whole pirate crew, then watch for hours as his left- and right-hand-men fight to see which of them should replace the Captain who is standing right there watching the whole thing transpire. So the Buggy-Alvida Alliance has finally captured Luffy and Buggy's about to execute him when out of nowhere, as Buggy is swinging his sword, he gets blasted with lightning. This guy who just hours prior got his full body and crew back together just so happens to get struck by a thunderbolt and you can't help but feel bad for Buggy. He's a terrible person as well of course, but... you gotta understand that the week that Buggy had has to be, like, THE shittiest in the history of the East Blue.
