I've not had this issue with mine, and I daily drive this mouse right now. But I must say I'm not slamming it down on my desk to notice left click misfires.

So what are the actual major differences between the G502 light speed and G502X light speed besides the weight? I know the switches are different but are they actually better I’ve seen people say they’re low quality (don’t care about the mouse wheel button it’s the least used button for me by far on my G502 light speed) and the 68% increase in speed of the already 1 ms response time sounds like bs so could someone clear that up as well possibly

Not a huge difference. I personally like the switches. Not had an issue with quality yet. It's not a huge upgrade from the older model. More of a product refresh.

What is your hand size in cms if you dont mind? Considering buying it but dont want to buy if its too big and have trouble reaching.

From my wrist to the top of my middle finger is roughly 20cm.

What is the maximum polling rate and is it PBT plastic? Depending on if it at least uses PBT and maybe over 1,000Hz polling I would buy it

Upto 1000hz, not over. Not sure about the plastic, will have to ask them.

Id like to know if you can use G502 X Lightspeed in wired config, using the charging port and USB A as input rather than dongle, possibly getting bit smaller input latency. Could you confirm/deny? Thank you!

A mixture of both to be honest with you, though I do use it wirelessly more as the feature is there. I've not noticed a difference in input lag between the two, so if there is any input lag, it's got to be miniscule.

One question: the old g502 has a problem that is, when you press the mouse scroll depending of the angle you press it, you can accidentaly activate one of the lateral (left and right) whell buttons wich can lead to undesirable commands. Looking into your video and some photos, seems that the wheel of the new model is different. Can you report if this accidental presses also happen on the new model?

You can just turn the macro's/buttons off, I did that with my G502. No issues

Unfortunately I can't see Logitech doing a specific stand for this mouse. But if you search for the mouse model number on Amazon, you'll find a couple of third party models like the one from EXY.

My biggest complaint with the G502 LS was the scroll wheel rattle, when you shake the new one left to right is there a loud rattle noise? Hopefully they fixed it with the lighter scroll wheel. Also in free scroll wheel mode moving the mouse forward/backwards, does the wheel roll by itself? G502 LS would move and mess up my spreadsheets or browser page position.

There's definitely still a rattle, but I wouldn't call it loud, or even an issue. Regarding the free wheel mode, I've not noticed it do this. I've just launched it around my mousepad and it didn't move a spreadsheet so hopefully this has been addressed.

Only standart colors for dpi led (white, orange, cyan, yellow, purple)

The games it could be is Age of Empires 4, ANNO 1800 or Hunt Showdown.

You mention expecting a dock. Maybe you know something we don't, but firstly they've never leaked one, and secondly I don't really see a reason to have one since the Lightspeed mousepad is always keeping the mouse optimally charged. Once you buy the charging puck and pad, there's not much reason for a dock beyond maybe a different way of charging if you wanted to top it off for travel, or simply aesthetics. Great video by the way! You deserve more subs. I'd love an analysis of reliability of the new switches, like a long term review or even just a double click test to ensure it doesn't suffer from the same issues as its more recent predecessors.

Not expecting a dock. Was more of a speculation. I wouldn't mind having one but you're right, it'll be a purely aesthetic accessory for my desk. Yeah their mousepad will keep it charged just as efficiently. Thank you for the kind words and checking out the video. I'll pop something in the calendar to create a follow up. Recently I've gone through a few mice in the past year due to my left clicks misclicking. Very frustrating. Let's hope this one lasts a while.

Idk but for me dock is aesthetically more pleasing maybe cause razer made the dock and now I'm jealous of it and also powerplay doesn't sell in my country unless it is from China

All I really want is a lightweight MX master, more for office work than gaming. The 2s I have is 145 g (the 3s is 141 g). I started getting really bad pain in my hands and had to switch to a lightweight mouse. I am currently using the "g pro x superlight," it's 63 g, and it fixes the weight problem. However its ambidextrous and causes pain from the shape. I also really miss free scroll, thought would prefer not to toggle (flick and spin). There's a bit more to what either end of the spectrum has that the other doesn't, but that's a longer post. The G502 X is looking like a good option, as long as ~100 g isn't too heavy (hard to say). I am a little worried you said the button seems like it might quit after some use, since I'd be pressing it all the time. Logitech's site says G502 X's black variant is the 99.7 g, while the white variant is 101.5 g. Any idea why the mouse being white would add 1.8 g, or if that's really true?

It’s because of the coating on white mice, it seems that Razer and Logitech’s white coating adds 1-2g.

From other comments on this video, it seems their older G502s have stood the test of time and their scroll wheel changer button has stood up. So who knows. Just felt a little clunky to me.

Ive had OG G502 Mouse for 10 years. Scroll wheel button still going strong. Irrelevant worry.

so the only diference between the X and X Plus is the RGB? which most people would leave off anyway?

Finally! a Good mouse to pair with my White Logitech G915 TKL! Currently using a White Razor Viper Ultimate with it, But I love the hand feel of a 502 but they never made a wireless white one till now!!!

We've all gotten spoiled over the last few years about prices. Walmart has the older 502 for around $35, don't know if I can see & feel an over 100% improvement based on price.

that 502 hero is the best mouse / $ they have made .. i still use it and i want another version with weights and wireless and wired... why do they love appealing to the children that want rgb .... imo this is a down grade that you have to charge and has less weight control .. its always 1 weight for 150+$ when you can get the g502 hero with the same specs and comes with interchangeable weights ... oh and you don't have to charge it.. and its 35-50$ on amazon g502 hero "FTW" sorry Logitech you sold out to zoomers...

Can somebody tell me if you can use this mouse wired as well? I am thinking of upgrading my G502 to this, and I would use it wirelessly on my PC, and wired on my PS5.

Yes it can be used wired. I can't say 100% for your PS5, but it works with a wire on PC.

in my worst mouses made list sitting on top2 (first is rival 600), very wrongly made mouse bcus its meant for longer hands yet sides are so narrow i cant get a grip + palm sits at wrong height

So compared to the classic g502 this is a upgrade? Cuz I got a new g502 when my old one broke and it was different and felt different with my aim so I just went back to the original 502 but this new wireless one looks good so y’all think it’s worth the upgrade

Hi! It’s just a big standard phone holder and we’ve stuck the mouse on it 😀 loads to choose from and really cheap on Amazon.

There wasn't any extra weights in the box. 102g is a little on the heavier side for a gaming mouse as it is.

@@TechNuovo Yet another point where this mouse is a downgrade compared to its predecessor. No more weight adjustment, no braided cable, and the overall grip surface seems to be significantly worse in quality than the G502. It's a shame how logitech has fallen since the glorious G9 days.

@@tebonr I was thinking about some times I need to press 6 and some times I need 7 on the keyboard. I know I can remap the buttons with the software. Pretty sure I need two separate buttons for what I need. Basically on my g700s I use the top three buttons for 6, 7, and then w, and the other three on the side(4th button is broken) for other keys I need.

No, you need the dongle plugged it, it wont just work with Bluetooth to a device.

Logitech G502 HERO cost curently £32.39 on Amazon , why should I pay £149.99 for this new model ,even if it is wireless? Right now I am a bit experimenting with the mouses, try different modells , wired and wireless and so far G305 is not to bad. Bough it for only £23.99 -new. If they drop the price to £89 I may consider to buy , but now it is just far to much.

Logitech mouse products typically release at £149+ MSRP but dip down significantly within (or after) a year or so. These have optical switches (hybrid) which, in theory, should prevent the famous double clicking issues Logitech mice can sometimes have after heavy usage. Does that make it worth £150? Right now its hard to say. No one has had the mouse long enough to tell if it'll last longer. Unless you have a pressing need for the colour or the new optical switches it may be best to just wait it out or purchase an existing mouse on sale (I've seen the regular G502 Lightspeed go on sale between £30-50 the past few months).

I will probably wait for the price to come down from £129.99 that costs for the G502 X Lightspeed, I wouldn't recommend buying the RGB version because it drains a lot of battery and you can't even see the RGB when it's in your hand and it's £20 more

But RGB looks pretty in desk setup photos 😭 but yes I get your point. When it's in your hand you're not seeing the RGB at all!

C'mon. I have been crying about not having G502 as a white and with a better scroll wheel. Finally I gave up and bought wireless black G502 to replace my wired version. Then some months later this happens. It's not same mouse though, but I think I would like that one.

Not sure you'd notice a huge difference upgrading yet. Unless you're specifically wanting the features of the 502X Lightspeed in the video.

Acquistato quasi un mese fa ,ma faccio il reso. Considerando il costo dello stesso dico: Bellezza sulla scrivania : 10 Durata della batteria : 6 ( la 1' carica durato 2 sett intense , la seconda sembri stia durando la metà ) Illuminazione : 10 + Velocità di risposta 10+ Comodità : 6 ( il tasto laterale da cecchino nonostante la prolunga , per utilizzarlo comodamente bisogna avere un pollice lungo 10 cm. Nuovi piedini PTTF :4 molto scorrevoli ma ( utilizzandoli con pad rigido logitech , si consumano come un wafer su carta brasiva da 120 ) Feedbach switch : 3 ( motivo della restituzione ) NUOVI SWITCH IBRIDI CON TECNOLOGIA LASER , dire pessimi , é fare un complimento. Appena sballato già il feedback era 🤔...a distanza di quasi un mese ..per carità ! Switch sx si é irrigidito gravando sensibilmente sul rate di fuoco ( ovviamente utilizzato click to click ). Gioco su sparatutto dal 96 , credo che dopo 27 anni di esperienza, posso garantire che questo SUPERMOUSE non é assolutamente adatto a gli sparatutto e soprattutto il prezzo ragazzi..attenzione ai vostri soldini 😉. G502? Yeah, if you mean Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum then yeah and I still got it even though it's like 9-11 year old.

The g502x and g502x lightspeed doesn't even have rgb?? All the base models of g502 had em, what is this Logitech?

You definitely get used to them. Having extra buttons means no need for using keyboard commands. Everything reachable on the mouse.

The RGB bar is fuck up your hand
