Just to add, if you do see a professional athlete "drinking" prime after a weight in, you can guarantee the bottle is filled with a liquid recomended by their dietision. It's really common most athletes sponsored by monster and redbull never drink redbull or monster and at an event they get given a can with the logo on it that they can fill with water or what ever they choose. Hi Derek! I’m new to your podcasts here! Thank you for all of this very detailed and informative info on hydration. I’ve been an LMNT gal since they first came out - I really benefit from the sodium content (as you say) as I do lots of (1.5-3 hours) stand up paddle boarding on the ocean up here in the Northeast where the Summers do get quite warm and humid. I do back off the LMNT however during my non-paddling seasons. I otherwise am more as you described yourself- strength training, long walks and sauna a few days a week. Your product sounds like a perfect fit for my fall, winter & spring seasons. I look forward to trying it out. Thanks for all you do in this health and wellness space! 🫶🙌

If you knew about sugar, then you'd know a sugar rush in children is a myth. You actually crash from excessive sugar consumption, even kids would get super tired. The reason kids may seem more excited by sugar consumption is the placebo effect, it's in their head.

a lot of sugar is relative to age and body composition. for a 9 year old yes, that is a significant amount of sugar. but for a prime consumer such as yourself who likely enjoys the sugar from glazing over the Paul bro knobs, it might not be a lot. Ty for this response, im passionate about climbing and outdoors life. Hydration has always been a bit of a difficult topic to educate on, in comparison to many other sport related topics. This video is a great introduction and summary. Now i can be more concious about my decisions on the topic, and for my choice of activities sports its very very noticeable when you are well hydtated versus not so much. Thank you and thank you Logan "the virgin" Paul for motovating this content.

Everytime I would play a couple hours of basketball and drink prime to get hydrated I would feel this horrible feeling my my stomach. Like I was dying of severe dehydration. It really did the opposite affect because I had no sodium. I then stopped drinking prime and i have felt way better since

I genuinely believe most people are not victims of influencers, they are victims of laziness. An influencer can show you things you are not aware of but it is your own responsibility to understand what you are putting in your body or where you are investing. It is pathetic to see people who are already poor putting their money in get-rich-quick schemes when they don't have money for rent! I suffer from abnormal, excessive sweating, and even when I don’t work out I can sometimes sweat a lot, eg. it’s a cold day outside and when I enter a building, the difference in temperature seems to make my body sweat. I have been drinking electrolyte drinks to replace the sodium etc that I lose. And I live in the UK, you only get to see a doctor if you’re dying here.

If PRIME made a kid more healthy, then he must have never had water before. (Note: dad said "fluids" not water)

In this situation if there are no other specific symptoms I would be concerned about the possibility of hypokalemic nephropathy or congenital Barrters syndrome. As you say, all pretty easy to sort out.

Im 25 and been dealing with exactly the same symptoms the father described, the symptoms started some time after i dropped sugar cold turkey almost completely, like from drinking redbulls and sugary drinks to one spoon of sugar in my first tea of the day, made me feel pike shit for a looooong time but im finnaly over it, sugar is one hell of a poison in big quantities

I remember when I saw the vitamins in Prime and saw that they had Magnesium, B6, and B12. I’ve had 4 concussions and two of them were considered ‘severe’. When I had to go to the neurologist for my constant headaches and concussion history, she recommended Magnesium, B6, and B12. All of these were extremely cheap and over the counter. Helped my headaches significantly, and all I had to do was take them once a day and drink a lot of water. Long story short: get the vitamins/supplements for much cheaper, and actually take care of your body Edit: I’m also not a neurologist nor licensed medical practitioner in general, so it could be something different. As MPMD said, we need more info
