I personally like this trailer better, it syncs better with the music

I loved the comic book part of it. It reminded me of when someone makes a movie based on a real-life event. And then someone who was actually in that event sees that movie and goes, "Yeah....that's not how it happened at all."

The last shot was so The Last of Us. :-)

The existence of Mutants was pretty widely know by the public. Someone had to make a comic of the X-men's adventures.

VISUALLY STUNNING, AMAZING FIGHT SCENES, AWESOME DIALOGUES, AMAZING THROWBACK, BEAUTIFUL LOOKING SHOTS, AND DID I TELL YOU ITS VISUALLY STUNNING?!! I'M HYPED! I CAN'T..... I'M TOO EXCITED FOR THIS!!!!!!!

I'm excited mainly because the X-Men is one of the first franchise us 2000s people grew up with and that particular franchise (especially the character Wolverine) is going to leave us soon. :'( It's going to be sad. I hope the movie will be good

They said that Logan doesn't really take place in the x men universe. This film takes place in 2024. With the line in the first trailer "Mutants, they're gone now" I think this is a depiction/ recordings of the aftermath. I love the comic book magic they did! Reminds me of the first Captain America (2011) they showed kids reading his comic during the war.

Charles Xavier having the last laugh in the extended Red Band trailer was the best way to end the trailer. That's why I love red band trailers because you get to see the subtleties and nuances more while the green band trailer limits that.

i am thinking it is about what happened in the 70's and 80's for the comics.

the director said the thing about the comic is at this time X-Men are like celebrity's, Hugh Jackman said it takes place in another timeline/world does not connect to the other X-Men movies

If you think about it, it makes sense that they would still make comics about them. Imagine if superheroes were real, all those kids would most likely never meet them in person, so comics are the next best thing. And it kinda throws fun at the fact that Hugh's Logan isn't comic accurate where he says "only a quarter of it happened, and none like this." And then it shows Wolverine in the yellow suit in the comic.

Just got home from school, saw the trailer and when I refresh Tyrone Magnus uploaded 33 seconds ago. Woooooooo!

The look on your face while you were watching this was perfect.

I think that the idea behind the comic book scene is the fact that post-DoFP, mutants for a time were pretty much accepted by society and by many were seen as celebrities. Hence the comic.

The comic thing is probably going to be how it was in Captain America: The First Avenger. In CA, he was so popular that comics were made of him in the movie's universe. Most likely the X-Men had comics made for them in universe.

the X-Men comic refers that enough time has passed by that the X-Men and all their adventures have kinda become legends or myths. like Logan says, maybe a quarter of it happened

From the way he said it, the comic was made based off their adventures. He says "Maybe a quarter of it happened...but not like this.... In real life, people died". The same thing was done in the MCU where in there world there are comics about their lives, and adventures (see Captain America First Avenger where they have his first issue being sold as war propaganda, and an episode of Agent Carter in season 2 Howard Stark has a comic of Two-Gun Kid and mentions it was based on TGK's real adventures)

There are X-Men comics in this universe as there were Captain America comics in First Avenger, and Avengers toys in the Iron Man movies...

Basically the comics are artists writing exaggerated versions of their stories. Since we are obsessed with biopics in the real world, it only makes sense that super powered beings would have stories told about them in their world.

This story takes place in the near future where the World has created a comic book from the events of the movies we have seen. And YES...she walks out with the bad guys head. (She probably throws it at them before the next scene we see.)

Funnily enough, back in the day it was well established in marvel comics that the writers and artists of said comics DID exist in that world, as themselves, and acted as reporters who followed the heroes around documenting their adventures. So yeah; their actually IS an X-Men comic book within the universe of the X-Men. It just hasn't come up in a few.....decades....

The X-Men comic in the trailer was probably like those old dime novels that purportedly told the "true stories" of Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill Hickock and other notables of the Old West. Most likely at some point, an ex member of the team told a writer stories about the adventures the X-Men had. The writer then decided comics were the best medium to tell the story and a comic artist/inker decided to go with garish, brightly-colored costumes and masks. (Also, note that Wolverine's comic book costume is similar, but not the same as the one we know)

Comic book was probably an in-universe thing based on their exploits. "True story" type thing

my theory behind the comic thing is that, these comics retell the stories that the X-Men have done in that universe that's why Logan said that these comics just only show the quarter of it not the every part

from what I understand from Deadpool, the X-men are the avengers of their universe in this new timeline and if you look closely in the various shows, the avengers have their line of comics and merchandise

Remember, due to the events of days if future past, people are more friendly towards mutants. So maybe fans made comics about them.

Actually adding the comic into the screenplay is an interesting stroke of genius. That much in the same way as you get stories written based on real people and historical events, so too why not with the X-Men?

They're implying that they have comic books in this timeline inspired by the real X-Men and their adventures. And the comic book version of them happens to be similar to ours. Great idea, he's gonna dawn the suit for sure in this one cuz the girl is a comic book fan.

Even after seeing the movie I can't stop watching the trailers.

I think people are thinking waaaaay to hard about the comic book being in the movie... Logan takes place in a distopian future where most of the Xmen are dead.. in the real world books are written about significant people and events, so it makes logical sense that someone has decided to chronicle the Xmen in this particular form. It would actually be more fictional if there was never a Novel,TV show,Documentary,Comic,Movie, etc... exploring the adventures of Mutants.

Pretty much in the future of that world the X-Men have become elevated as heroes and people created their own stories about them (i.e.) comic books, so that's why someone like X-23 would have something like that.

They said in regards to the comic that only 25% of it actually happened, but not like it's portrayed. Basically the comic was made after them over the years I think.

this is how its done! character and story! not some comblicated cool looking combat only. This is raw and brutal. just like i want it! it's like a Nolan style wolverine movie!

The comic was pretty much just an easter egg same way a hellboy comic appeared in that one lol.

It's definitely red band, but the international trailer is just more red band.

I take it to mean that the X-Men, after all the other movies, became extremely famous and their stories were fictionalized into comic books.

When I saw that a new trailer had been upload I went apeshit.Honestly think this will be one of the best comic book movies of all time,at least in par with the original Iron Man or Captain America Winter Soldier.The Red Band trailer is way better than the normal one tho,that joke at the end killed me lol

I don't know why so many people are confused with the X-Men comic in the movie.A lot of time has passed and people KNOW about mutants and who are good and bad so writing a comic is normal!That's why Logan says that maybe a quarter of it happens :D
