Loderunner running on my Raspberry Pi Pico 6502 emulator and an Apple II side by side

Ойындар

This video demonstrates my home brew customer computer emulator running a ported version of the Apple II game Loderuner side by side with an actual Apple II. The 6502 emulator project is a pivot from Ben Eater's build a 6502 kit. The emulator runs on a Raspberry PI Pico, it supports PS/2 keyboard, VGA output and an optional Atari standard joystick. The purpose of the video is to demonstrate that the emulation is very close to the original.
I hope you like it, and if you're a fan of Loderunner, 6502 homebrew computers or emulation, let me know!

When I was setting up a friend to capture apple II disks over audio, this was the first game I loaded on a real floppy disk to "test". This is great looking. Going to have to try that out.

Thanks. I've probably built about 30 of them now. Hoping to get a booth at the retro gaming expo in Portland this October.

Hi Eric, I've picked up one of your golden bars at the PRGE and just connected it to a screen. Works great, excellent job! The game starts right away after plugging in the micro usb power - although I had to widen the opening a bit to allow the plug to connect properly. On the PRGE you showed that you can run basic on the device; did you use a key combination to get that running?

Interesting! Have you tried a mini LCD (320x240) for displaying the graphics? Do you have the source code available? I want to make some mini handheld 6502 arcade games, like Ms. Pacman etc.

I actually just picked up a few different types for an Atari 8 bit disk drive emulator I just made. Haven’t tried yet, but maybe soon.
