Locs and palmroll cause hair loss?! | loctician debunks myths about locs
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
back with myth #3!! I'm loving this series. People ask me all the time if their locs will thin, just because. Absolutely not, hair loss has a cause every time. Just getting locs is not going to cause your hair to fall out, but I do understand the very real fear after all of the misinformation has been spread. In this video, I talk about this myth, some of the ways your locs can get thin, and how to combat it.

Thank you Courtney for this information on palm rolling. You always give good and knowledgeable advice. I am seven months locked and was hesitant in palm rolling until now.

I would love to see a video on interlocking with fine hair! I just got some small starter locs and I’m trying to figure out if I should palm roll or interlock…I do workout a lot and I’m not sure if the palm roll would last…I need help!

I’ll add that to the list of things to talk about, but I’ll share that I used to interlock my aunt’s locs (she has fine hair) but we stopped because her locs were getting skinnier and she didn’t want that. So it’s up to what you want and if your locs can handle consistent interlocking without breaking. You can schedule a consultation with me if you still need help deciding! Good one! I actually have something similar on the list 😊 so all of that will be discussed!!
Hi! I’m currently at 3 weeks with my starter locks that I started myself with two strand twists. I’m really having a hard time deciding what method I wanna use for maintenance lol like I was thinking I would try out re twisting but I also want to feel close to complete freedom with my locs. If I did retwist, would you way every 4 weeks would be too often?
@CourtneyGrayton

4 weeks would be the soonest I'd recommend for retwisting. I definitely understand wanting the freedom. For my own loc journey, I plan to retwist consistently for about a year, and then test out semi-freeform for a little more freedom.
Hello beautiful ❤I'm on my second set and I'm learning still. I have natural gray hair and yes it gets a bit unruly😢 does a product work on gray hair to Make it act right?(I'm to the point ion even stress on the two week maximum hold for a retwist) I actually go mths between retwist and by that time ion even look like I have locs😅😅
Hey sis where I live at I have no one to do my locs so I would love any info to help me because I'm doing it myself and I'm def interested in your products

Hi! I offer consultations for more 1-on-1 help (www.vagaro.com/hairgoalswithcg). But I have tons of information on this channel! My products are found here: www.froetry.com
I have a couple of quick questions once you start your loc journey if you decide you don't want them do you have to cut your hair off to get rid of them if I have fine natural hair would it be better if I start with the coil loc or two strand twist loc method
@CourtneyGrayton

1. You can cut them or comb them out. 2. Check out this for my detailed explanation. I’d rather you make your own decision about that, especially since I haven’t seen your hair kzread.info/dash/bejne/oWV-rbNveJu2Yqg.html

May need some crocheting to repair it if it appears it’s about to fall off. If it’s not, just allow the roots to grow out and retwist as normal.
Please Can pregnancy affect ones locs
