No, its bitlocker,you actually cant bypass it even with Regedit, the actual drive is encrypted, like TPM but worse.

In the bios I believe you can turn that on you can get into the pc @Lio Liang Yang has a video on how to bypass all that

And.if the bios is locked. You gotta discover the bios chip on the logic board and reflash it manually. Basically extra work but worth it if the said laptop is good

I now have 2 Lenovo Laptops as I have put 32 gig of RAM in one,basically it has a bay under my keyboard & another under the laptop so got Crucial RAM & flys like the wind as I bought a Tb of hard drive too. The 420 Lenovo is the main one I've used & kept so clean it will now beat any Apple in comparison as I tested it on start up to different ways of good ways of a great Laptop,they have to be the best laptops as government company's use think staitions to little computers & all the hardware that comes with them like head sets to screens & plenty other things as even the police & Army use Thinkpads in the UK. Thanks great video 10/10

Ideally it's better to use Lenovo recovery images so all the OEM drivers are there when you reinstall.

If you mean deleting the partition, that's part of the installation process. This is not a secure erase, though.

U didnt back up those files,u can access it by removing the disk and plug it in pc,u installed os without knowing the issue..files all lost

I bought a used laptop and tried to reinstall win 11 but for some reason it blocked me so I did some research, and the problem is the drive was encrypted. Fortunately, I know the laptop windows pin code and disable it in settings and it works nicely.

in few case that ssd in lptp cannot be reinstal, because security ssd or that lptp,.

Yeah I just downgraded from Windows 11 to Windows 10, went to my manufacturers website to get all drivers etc, after updating bios got Bitlocker screen and I'm locked out of my email account for a month while they accept my alternative email address and have an old phone number on record, so cant access the bitlocker key for a month, luckily i still had my windows 10 iso, had to delete all partitions of the ssd before it would let me install as it said cant install because bitlocker block on it or something, anyway, this helped thanks.

My company will just ask the laptop back lol idk how he got it for himself 💀
