I have been to both restaurants many times. Fisherman's Corner has great food.

We were just there in July and headed back in October. Thanks for these videos @ShawnSwigart Love to get some local flavor for the next trip

@@skswig1 I watched about a dozen of your videos last night, The Tarklin Bayou and Johnson State Beach tours were my favorites. I will be walking both . My wife wondered what the chances of seeing a gator in Tarklin Bayou are.

My wife and I love Perdido Key. It is peaceful and it is safe.

The red cross is in memory of Roger McNew. Anyone that is local, knows that Roger was an Innerarity Point icon. He passed in 2009. Some of you may of seen him rowing down the canal wearing a ''tiny'' thong, while standing in his dingy, usually with a couple of dogs riding with him. Boaters often stopped to take pics of him. Google his name. Plenty of photos of him will pop up, plus a story or two. We will always remember him as the "Mayor" of Innerarity Point. He was one of a kind....... Fishing from the small islands in front of Galvez Landing is Florida water, not Alabama. Around Ono Island is considered Alabama. The marina is called Holiday Harbor. There is a new public park coming, directly west of the Galvez Landing. The new park will be a nice addition. Boat launch will remain at Galvez. New park will be for kayak/canoe launch, swimming, fishing, picnics etc...

He camped on the islands on occasion. He also used to camp on Ono before it was developed.

That was huricane Ivan. There are a lot of very cheap places that are off of the gulf. Try VRBO.The Purple Parrot is very reasonable and they have a great pool and restaurant on the property

Thanks for the heads up Shawn! The wife and kids & I were down to Perdido Key from Oquawka, IL back in '08 or '09 right before the big hurricane (don't remember the name). Thinking of coming back down next year, either to Perdido Key or Gulf Shores. You have any suggestions on small houses that would be good to rent at a reasonable price?
