Being that I reside in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I would like to inquire as to the possibility of viewing the debate in its entirety on this same platform. With thanks...-Mr. Dearmon

Hi, Mr. Dearmon -thanks for the question! I posted this news report as a means of getting the word out that we (Peyton Dixon, myself, and everyone at American Historical Theatre) are happy to travel throughout the United States to perform our fun, educational, and interactive brand of theater to live audiences. The news clip also suggests one of the ways in which communities join together in order to make the resources available to host the community-building experience that is a live theatrical performance. As a "plan B" option, many of my colleagues -myself included- offer some of our solo/one-person shows as Zoom performances, but we do not allow audiences/clients to record and rebroadcast those Zoom performances. We are continuing with an annual Independence Day project in partnership with the US National Archives in which we do make certain brief (20-minutes,) custom-tailored presentations available to the general public online. The US National Archives KZread page is a great resource for access to those. Unfortunately, it is not feasible to provide recordings of complete, live performances online. All of the options for doing so would seriously damage our actor-historians' right to receive fair pay for the hard work and dedication that goes into researching, creating, and performing characters and scripts. Perhaps there is a local Kiwanis or other community-based organization that could help bring the necessary resources together in order to make it happen. Our recent performance in Farmington was my second in that city; the first was over a decade ago for a debate with Alexander Hamilton. I've traveled across the United States -including Mr. Jefferson's beloved Virginia- since 1999 offering my one-man shows, debates, and other programming. It would be a joy to introduce your community to Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Adams in person.
