Спорт
Steve is fed up with disrespect for one of the world's most unique game animals-the pronghorn antelope. Throughout the hunt, Steve shares antelope biology, hunting techniques, and meat care. Steve aims to make antelope lovers out of everyone and get pronghorns the respect they deserve.

It’s really not fair how Steven can make testicle meat look tasty. He’s like “I hate hearing people say how bad road kill skunk is. It gets a bad rap for being stinky when it’s really all in how you cook it” and then proceeds to make it look good.

@@Unhinged29 Right on man. Thats awesome. I just learned we have 250 pronghorns up here in Washington state as of 2019. I can't wait to harvest one . Ps ... I hope you didn't eat the testicle like Steve , lol. I really enjoy his shows and I'm all for not wasting, but I'm not eating a testicle for anything lol.
Sorry to say it Steve, but I appreciate watching your failures as much as your successes. This has really become one of my favorite series.
I had pronghorn for the first time visiting a friend's family in Wyoming. They were ranchers, and had killed the pronghorn right before we got there so we got to watch as they cleaned it and took it apart. If you've never had antelope tacos, you haven't had antelope! It was the most tender and flavorful meat I've had in a long time. I can't wait to get in there and hunt one myself one day.

Antelope is great. I’m a lifelong Montana resident and one of my favorite things each year is our antelope hunt. They’re my favorite animal to hunt by far. I’ve had some good antelope meat and some pretty terrible shit as well, but usually it’s good. Antelope sausage, antelope curry, antelope sauerbraten, etc.. all great ways to eat it!

One of the best outdoors shows on TV!
Just shot my first antelope yesterday, definitely a hunt to remember!
This last year I tried a new thing for myself. I split the hide on the legs to cool while hanging overnight. Best Elk ever.
Quarter Roy texture. What a great description
I used those subsonic .22 rounds quite a bit while hunting the back yard when I was a kid.
Rabbit cooked the same day is pretty chewy. But if it's warm and you haven't got a fridge, your only options are to eat it or boil it over night.
Looking forward to one of these days having the opportunity to get one. I've tried it and loved it.
Another great hunt, keeping it real! Second shot is as impressive
Antelope have got to be one of the best tasting game meat and darn fun to hunt
This is one of my bucket list hunts
Thank you, Steven. Game meat has no other actual descriptor, than, GOOD! `...wanna see my game eat THIER meals, while I respect them as I eat WITH them!' Much respect, Zane in Texas! God Bless!
Whichever cameraman that had the idea for that little silhouette shot at 5:05 deserves a medal
Have been lucky enough to hunt Pronghorn in Wyoming three times. Harvested 8 'goats" as some of the locals called em. One of my favorite game meats. Got 5 of them mounted & in the house. My wife even took 3 of them. Love the stalks in beautiful country.
Been re watching all the episodes of meat eater. I love to walk. I walk everywhere, and agree with Steve u see more and do have a better sleep at night. In general

Love these videos so much. I wish I was better at managing my time and money so I could go hunt like this someday.
Music is amazing in these episodes!
Ive always loved making jerky out of it

Awesome hunt, i haven't hunted pronghorn in over 20 years. Hopefully will get drawn here in Alberta in the next couple years!
FYI, always check for a healthy liver on any rabbit you eat. They to can carry Trichinosis. A healthy liver = a healthy rabbit.
@liftedninja1607
3 жыл бұрын
People usually get trichinosis from under cooked meat. If it's fully cooked it's not an issue. But I agree always check the liver of any game animal before consumption.
Another tip my friend taught me years ago, which applies to mule deer and antelope, is to skin the animal quickly, if possible. There is a theory that the hide of antelope and mule deer contains oils which can cause the animal to taste more gamey. I've done this for years, and it really, really works.
Steve thanks for another great video 👍🏻
That countrys so beautiful i had to look away. Reminds me of home.
It's my dream to go hunting. I've never been. Love the videos and the way you look at things.
Great camera work, that missed shot in slo-mo, legitness.
Steve Rinella- “get any size coolers u can afford” Also steve- 5 full size yeti coolers 😂😂🤙🏼
Nothing like popping a rabbit or a grouse while hunting big game in the back country (or anywhere) ... build a quick fire and let the flames tickle the meat until it's ready. Excellent way to stay energized and find the ultimate target (elk, deer, antelope etc). That rabbit looked amazing. Thanks man
I'm glad that antelope meat has a bad rap. That way those guys will stay home and leave more for me!
Woot another one!
Africa has many antelope species. North America just has the pronghorn. We're very lucky that the pronghorn population has been well preserved. This was a great episode.
That’s absolutely fantastic Steve. My goal is to hunt pronghorn in every state that I can DIY public land style no matter what weapon type I need to get tags 🏷 for to draw a tag 🏷.

@@DStanford94 then they should be 45min with commercials. ;) Don't you feel like a lot of episodes feel like they had to cut SO much interesting stuff? With a bunch of episodes, you can almost tell that Steve does not kill and butcher/prepare an animal in the end, because the flow of the whole episode is much better and they have time to go more into detail. Sometimes trivial things, but things that make the whole show so much better. I think in at least 40% of all episodes, they had to leave out a solid 10 minutes of interesting and worthwhile footage that in no way would unnecessarily stretch out the episode. To fit the 30min (incl. commercials) timespot for TV.

@@finq0997 I wish there was more info about the animals especially for the fish and bird episodes. Big mammals usually have a lot of information available between the internet and books, but for some birds and a lot of fish unless you dig into really academic stuff there’s not a lot of information out there about the animal itself.

My longest shot was on a pronghorn. To witch I learned alot during that hunt and we did quarter it up and having directly on ice. It was a large doe and the my grandfather taught me and from my own cooking experience they are great tasting animals. They will very much test a hunters patience and adaptability in a hunt for pronghorn. I missed a few shots on that particular hunt due to the fact I had little experience with long distance shots. But at the end of the 2 weeks all of us in a group of 7 tagged out. Good memories and good food. All in lusk Wyoming and extremely friendly locals
Steve hunting Antelope is like our Springbuck in South Africa, same terrain and hunting style, but here Springbuck is seen as the king off game meat.
Nutin wrong with me!! I like Antelope as good as all other wild game! I hunted Gillette Wyoming years ago. I like broiling steaks with a can of button mushrooms dumped on top! That brought back memories! Thank you!
Nothing to contribute aside from saying I loved the episode and love the show

Just spent a week in Meeteese WY, could NOT believe the amount of antelope in that area, still am shocked how many wandered road side at night. Dozens and dozens in a short stretch
Easiest hunt I’ve ever been on was Antelope in Wyoming lol they are everywhere where I used to live. You could literally drive a truck within 50yrds and they’d just stare at you
Awesome animal.... I have tons where I live in Arizona. Pretty cool to practice a stalk on them.
I am so happy to see you 😊
Youve convinced me to try some buck nuts this fall!
I'll be honest. A speed goat fawn's backstrap is the best game meat I've ever eaten. It is absolutely similar to lobster in texture. A mature rutting buck's meat is good for nothing but sage flavored breakfast sausage, heavy on the pork fat. Great episode
I lived in Wyoming for many and yes, some of them can jump fences. Not many but you can see it occasionally.
Yes, please.
Oh my you are making me so hungry for pronghorn again. IMO the best tasting. Just remember there is always a lot more area around a pronghorn than there is on one. What I’m saying is everyone misses every now and then. My cousin calls me “Two Shot Tommy” and I hunt with an Encore. Miss him standing still and hit him running.
