Brotherhood, Badlands, & Pack Llamas: Montana Mule Deer | S1E07 | MeatEater
Спорт
With a pack of llamas, Steven Rinella, his brother Matt, and friend Matt Moison camp and hunt the badlands of Eastern Montana for mule deer. Freezing cold temperatures and unforgiving topography add to the challenging job of finding a giant muley. Check out the MeatEater Podcast for more from Steve and the MeatEater Crew. @@Zeel555 very true, but its intimidating without someone walking you through the ropes and without proper gear. I'm planning on getting into it once i finish college. The most intimidating part is butchering the animal because I don't want to waste any meat out of respect. I grew up fishing so I understand fileting, but it's a whole new game butchering wild game.

@@tjdillashaw2703 Butchering is intimidating, but honestly it was one of the easiest things for me to learn. It's a lot simpler than you would think. The challenge of getting your first animal will be far more difficult than butchering that animal.

I agree! If they edited it and just showed the kill shots, it would not show real hunting.That’s why it’s called hunting not shooting👍 If you’re actually hunting and not waiting by a feeder, especially if hunting public lands, the reason it’s so fun is because it’s so hard. When you finally get one it’s an accomplishment!
@Zeel555

Rhyhan, nothing wrong with feeders. I don't use them myself I'm not allowed to in my state. Although I know guys who sat all season by feeders and haven't hasn't seen anything so it's not like you just put corn out in the deer come...

@@Zeel555 I didn’t mean to bash feeder hunting, was just encouraging him to keep trying and not to compare traditional hunting success with feeder hunting success. If I was filling my freezer for my family feeder hunting is the way to go👍

@@relyenterprisestx I needed to read that tonight, thank you! I just returned empty from a national forest hunt in appalachian terrain. It was a grueling but fun 9 days where I stalked a trophy buck on top of a mountain. He was huge! I only got a quick glance at his rack, but it was easily a solid 12-14 point. He came up from behind me and spooked on me from about 30 yards away while I was sitting on his home. If I had only been looking behind me! But it was my first ever deer hunt and I feel proud that I found him at all.
Being a slightly disabled hunter, I live vicariously through your episodes. Like you, I've been up in Alaska fishing, and I know its wonders. I have hunted Montana for elk (failed), but Nebraska is my master hunter's location. The way you describe things in each episode is excellent. When I hunt, I simply ask God to send me what he wants me to have, and I'll do the rest. Its worked well since I was 16 years old. My family has been raised on all sorts of wild game and fish and are better off for it. And like you...I hate it when it gets exceptionally cold! Keep up the good work.

Steve's brother sounds just like him. What I enjoy about hunting is getting to hang with my hunting bros and the challenge of trying to fill my tag. A lot of my success depends upon the weather and snow. Snow pushes elk out of the higher areas and also shows where they're bedding and feeding, and it comes in handy for tracking a wounded animal.
I absolutely love this show. I leave for North Dakota to hunt mule deer in about a week. I am stoked and this show always gets me even more excited to hunt mule deer.

I like the app but there is one issue. I don't know if it is just me or what, but the little blue dot that represents you, doesn't show where you are facing. So you know where you are but if you are turned around you don't know what way to go. I use it for biking wildlife management area trails behind my house(they go for miles, it is easy o get lost, countless trails that shoot off in every direction) as well as hunting and that is really annoying

Most educational, fun, exciting hunting show I've seen in my life. This show alone makes me want to get my hunting license and go get some deer.
The answer to me is simple. If you shoot the big buck of your dreams the buck in your dreams will become that much bigger.
Hahahahahahaha that llama is stubborn like some many of our wives!!!!
Dis show is the shit,its awesome. The content is the best. Meateater ,Tim Wells,Jim Shockey r the best huntin show out there. Frying pan on the stove wit butter set the fire alarm off which is connected to the city grid. Damm i forgot bout the pan. I waited for the fire truck to show up, it did.
