I listened to this in the tutorial and had such a raw emotional response It was 2 AM, and I had headphones on I spent the rest of the night feeling like I was going to get jumped by a skinwalker I don't recall ever having such a reaction to intense songs (stuff like the OSTs of Ultrakill, the new Doom games, etc)

I've actually had similar "woah" moments with the Ultrakill and INCISION osts. INI did such a good job of making this horrifically fleshy and oppressive OST for INCISION, but was able to match the player's influence on the score of the world as you progress, which slowly became more naturally musical sounding as you progress through act 1. Ultrakill is a great example for subverting expectations in quick sequence. Every layer of Hell is unique, and Hakita is able to fit just the right mood for every fight, area, boss, secret area and tonal switch.

I love how everything getting silent at the end

I’ll never forget how much this soundtrack had an impact on my anxiety when I was a new manager and this played when Fragment of the Universe breached. At the time everyone was still level 2 and I didn’t know what to expect from Fragments. It also didn’t help that Scorched Girl breached immediately afterwards too and killed one of my agents around the same time Fragments finished killing a single clerk which caused 2 of my agents to panic. Good times.

When I was a new manager and got punishing bird for the first time I thought it was extremely dangerous when it breached just because this song was playing. I foolishly had one of my agents attack it. I was so surprised when Ryan got one shotted after angering the bird. Same thing happened when I got Void Dream later on in the information department and had someone hit it.

When you went to school but forgot to do home work:
