Wow. That intro and the intro music. I felt like I was witnessing the beginning of humanity’s exploration into the galaxy.
Thanks for this video had the hardest time growing this plant even as tissue culture. Blessings to you and your family 🙏 my friend
Wonderful video! I loved seeing it in your tank!
This plant grows so much and fast in my aquarium that the weekly trimming was not enough and I had to use the “mini” version in its place. Really surprised it could be considered a “difficult” plant :0
Best video on KZread about this plant thank youv
Hey Joel, mine is much smaller with more rounder leaves. Must be the mini version. It’s a lovely plant that took a bit of time to be happy in my aquariums but now flourishes. 🌱
I was looking for an easy video this guy is extremely knowledgeable great video but not for beginners.
I have both normal and dwarf sized Lobelia, and for some reason I find the normal easier to grow. I experimented with growing some of both varietals in CO2 and non CO2 aquariums, and I personally found that CO2 is optional, as both Lobelias did well in either setting.
thanks
I've been trying to grow that plant outdoor for years... it is a native damp-area plant, and it usually never grows, or gets killed by rabbits before I get to enjoy it! Anyhoo, I've been looking at using it in an aquarium, and depending on which supplier's website you look at, it is either SUPER difficult, or EASY! That's why I looked at this clip! :-) Can anyone confirm which it actually is from experience?
👍
Most plants in my aquarium are difficult.

Maybe the wrong plants? It is an individual and personal decision what kind of plants you care for. Personally, I don't think co2 is extremely necessary because I don't want such extreme growth at all. With a little patience, most plants develop beautifully. That's completely enough for me. And with patience and a bit of sensitivity, a lot of plants grow, and if not then it is simply the wrong plant for my aquarium and me. And I simply look for something else that suits me and my conditions in the tank better.
👏🏼
Lobelia cardinalis is classed as an easy to grow plant by Tropica. I wonder if they use a different cultivar.
Ive bought the emersed version twice, and in terms of difficulty I'd put it right up there with anubias and java fern! Im currently waiting for the second batch to transform after a break, but I'm really not concerned that it'll be any trouble, I just forgot how long it took to fully transform, this batch doesn't seem to be a fast as I remember, but I'm expecting a maximum of about a month!
Nice planys
That is so interesting! I wonder if it would make a lovely (outdoors) submerged pond plant. It makes me want to submerge other wetland plants to see what happens

Oh 👋
😎👍❤️
In order to avoid pH swinging, I use CO2 all the time (24 hours) without any problem with my fishes.

I used to do that for a few years also.
I can't find any information I just want to know if this is safe for my aquatic turtle.
Has anyone got it to flower in a Riparian setup?
0:26 those roots tho...
