It was so beautiful though and would really stand out in the pond.

Lol when everyone thought Laura got that blue glass in the fire pit because she was too nice to say no. She sure said no (nicely) to that red water lily.

The pond is looking beautiful! Nothing more peaceful than the sound of water.

“Ponds are like Puppies” they take a little while to “train” but once it is it will bring immeasurable joy into your life! ❤❤❤

One day you should have a pond sharing submission. Mine doesn’t hold a candle to the size of yours but for a smaller yard, it’s perfect!

Oh, that white lily, and the white and purple lotus are so gorgeous. I know nothing about these types of plants, and it will be fun to watch how they do. That looks like the perfect location for that little creeper. All the pond plants in and around the pond are really making this area sing.

If I could like this video 10000xs or more I would. Rewatching to share with my daughter who loves Koi and Lily pads and little frogs. She can't get over how grown Benjamin and Samantha Grace are. I love how I've been able to share this channel with her and she's recalling so many milestones. The new house, both pregnancies, the south garden, THE Hartley ❤ dirt lands and so many more moments of peace joy and beauty. We've been with you since you were making fairy gardens and succulents on drift wood in your back yard. To have watched your family grow and have this connection with her is memorable and thank you Laura, Aaron and family.

You’re so fortunate Laura. I went to Idaho Oasis last Friday and they only had ONE water lily left. I didn’t know they could be specially ordered. Ordered a peach water lily and pickerel online and just placed them in our little pond tonight. 😊

Oh my goodness! The pond area is just magical! I would have coffee out there every morning! I loved everything you picked out. Samantha was a great little helper! I have a small above ground pond about 4 x 8 in my yard for about 20 years. I’ve only ever planted one water lily and it puts on a show all summer every year. I bet y’all will really enjoy this area this year!❤❤❤

I am so envious. There is no place where I can put a pond in my yard and I'm a water person. Having said this, I do have an entire lake and river system about 2 blocks away but the fish are a little more smelly. It is just not the same as having a fresh water pond you can sit and enjoy. Love your videos. I learn so much from you. The hard part is remembering it all. I do have Senior moments. Great to see the pond recovering from its algae bloom. Getting new plants and fish is so exciting.

I would gladly take your cool weather. Want to trade? We have had and will have triple digits for days with no relief in sight. The pond and the plantings look great! I can’t wait to see them all blooming! Samantha is such a great helper! She’s really taking after her mom and grandma! 💚💚💚

We have a pond and keep our water lilies in a container to keep the leaves and plant from taking over. If the roots get too large we just split and place in another container. Good luck!

Your priority should be oxygenated plants for the bottom of your pond. Floating plants are so pretty like aquatic jacinthes.

I would strongly suggest some oxygenating underwater plants. Those plants have saved my show Koi from many predators.
